Various definitions of oxidation,
1.Addition of oxygen
2.removal of hydrogen
3.addition of electronegative elements
4.removal of electropositive elements
5.increase in oxidation no.
6.loss of electron,
And vice versa in reduction
Trick,,,OIL- oxidation is loss of electron
RIG-reduction is gain of electron.
If I am right then like.
Reduction is gain of electron
