Jess fell in love with Rory at first sight. He also was similarly intelligent but never got it together until much later. He also helped Rory snap out of it and go back to Yale and he was the one that gave her the idea for the book she was writing in the revival. He was a bit of a sucky boyfriend when they were dating but he has his du is in a row now and is happy and doing something he loves plus he’s a heck of a lot nicer than he used to be. There was this moment when he was looking at her through a window in the revival and I was like yeah, they’re soul mates. I’ll always and forever be team Jess!
they definitely weren’t “right person, wrong time” their time was right, maybe not in season 2-3 but later when jess came to yale to tell rory to come with him, THAT WAS THE RIGHT TIME. they had so many opportunities, the writers just hate us literati stans

They were my favorite. Dean was always "I got the girl who cares" and Logan was sweet and genuine but there was that spark between these 2 the sweet genuine loving spark which leaves them to really be the soulmates lol

i know im super late but in my opinion jess and rory are soulmates. they both hadn't fully matured enough yet though. when rory told jess that she might have loved him, my heart broke. i loved them so much :(

They might of messed up by not having their relationship go farther. They could write something now though. The Logan experience doesn't fit her. Jess has always been best for straightening her out. He was a mixed up kid when he met her and she got HIM on the right track. They seem good for one another.

For someone who have met a lot of her soulmates, and watched this series many times, Jess was *the soulmate that one that they always sells us in media but thought it's not real or only happens in movies, but they do exist

Jess helped Rory loosen up and Rory helped Jess straighten out. I’ve seen comments like Logan is rorys Christopher and Jess is rorys Luke. They’re right for each other but the timing was off. Just like how loralie (so butchered that spelling) didn’t find Luke until the end, in the second series you could see how Jess and Rory worked together, so they found their way back to each other, I wish the writers did something with that romantically. I swear Jess & Rory had the best chemistry out of them all, and I’ve heard that they were even dating at the time which is probably why too. (Maybe since they were broken up by the second series they didn’t want to do anything romantically which is understandable, would have been great for the audience tho) I mean maybe at the end you know how you can see the continuance of rorys story play out the way loralie’s played out it foreshadows that and I’m hoping the same way loralies kid is Christopher’s but her partner is Luke, rorys kid is Logan’s but her one true love is Jess.
Dean reminds me of rorys teacher the one loralie was dating at a time. Since dean is rorys first love he’ll always have a special place in her heart. But I’m not gonna lie dean got a little toxic at one point which made me hate their relationship. Ohhhh and Tristan!!! That coulda gone somewhere if he had stayed I wish the writer did something with that. I think it would have been somewhat similar to Jess so Rory would have influenced him for the better, and also a little Logan being that tris came from a wealthy family, that would have been interesting, rorys grandparents would have liked him, especially since with Logans family were rivals to rorys. Also in the second series I would have liked to see more of the other characters and where they are now, in the story.

I was team Dean but Dean was right rory liked jess from the moment he got to town so i think he deseverd better from that point so i get why we all ship rory and jess more but more because rory just didn't love dean as dean loved rory in my opion (btw i got lazy with captail letters so dont come at me for that thanks).
Also I'm at season 2 right now so dont know the full story yet so might change my mind later lmao

Honestly Jess was fascinating and rory and him were the most compatible, he pointed out rory at her wrongs, he was interesting, smart, nice to rory. the only thing is that the timing in the second and third season wasn't right and rory practically cheated on Dean. Honestly I don't like Dean very much but how he was treated by rory wasn't right either,and if I come to think of it being in that position I might have done the same JUST because Dean was pretty boring he wasn't the right match? And they didn't have anything in common whereas Jess opened up the window to a better relationship in the terms of the thrill. Nonetheless it was right person wrong time
