i was diagnosed with secondary syphilis, was injected with Benzathine penicilin 24m one unit IM , when should i test for syphilis again and will it show in tpha even though i have been cured. Pleases help

your RPR should become negative after treatment, unfortunately your FTA-ABS or TTPA test will remain positive for life.

Can syphilis killed some one and if it has been a long time in the body can it be treated with out facing any problem please.

My rpr and vdrl is Non Reactive
But Tpha is positive..

@@cheikhsidiahmed2848 yes Vdrl became negative after 4_5 months depending on the stage....but TPHA WILL REMAINS POSITIVE.
MY VDRL IS NOW NON REACTIVE...IM CURED BUT TPHA IS STILL POSITIVE. PLS CONSULT DERMATOLOGIST
