Crazy to think how many things had to come together for this deck to pull through. Self-repair, frozen eye, static discharge, chem-x with reinforced body x3, and above all, ignoring the trap that was the starting relics. Nicely done!
Can't believe the static discharge was the card that won you the heart fight! It makes sense in retrospect looking at it- but it's very easy to assume little of that card at first glance!
First time ever beating the heart with defect for me was something similar, I think I had multiple static discharges and Torii and just let the heart blap itself to death against my static feedback
static discharge is usually a pretty mediocre card, but when you get a tori it changes things. its kinda the same thing with chem x and reinforced body. im actually pretty surprised he took the panic button because that cards usually only good if your deck is focused around frost orbs or artifact charges, not reinforced body or leap which it doesnt synergize well with.
Thanks to your content I just beat the heart for my very first time. With the watcher! Had a sick mantra deck with multiple brilliance that went crazy. Thanks for showing the world how beautiful and in depth the game can really be!
What I'd like to see: an honest title. "Can we master Scrape with a mediocre deck?!" Really good job piloting this deck. I'd have lost several times over.
I'd love to see a new tier list video for each character after having done this challenge (like, after you complete it) and see if anything's changed or any new perspectives you have. I've definitely caught onto different viewpoints as we've gone on, though I do have a feeling your GENERAL ranking would be similar. Okay look I just love your breakdowns and explanations.
1:07:02 Why did he play the panic button? He saved 33 health that turn, but lost the ability to block 50+ damage the following turn. Seems like a misplay, but I suspect I might be overlooking something.
@@trucutru3 👍 okay I can see that. I think on average he draws it (or skim, etc), but I can see trading off some average health to reduce the chance of total loss.
I just finished watching all your tips and ranking videos and one thing I noticed wasn't there were elites, do you plan to do a tier list/tips for elites in the future? You did the bosses and idk where else to ask
I’m so confused by the double machine learning +. You voluntary made your first turn of every fight complete ass, and were saved by countless lucky electrodynamics draws in act 2. It wasn’t even for mastery!
Frozen Eye might be my least favorite relic. It's the spike relic that just drains fun from the game in exchange for being one of the strongest effects in the game.
Seeing the Torii, I realized that I can never remember if Torii and Tungsten Rod work together both ways. So I'm pretty sure that if Torii reduces damage to 1, Tungsten Rod then reduces the damage to 0. However if the enemy deals 6 damage and Tungsten Rod reduces that to 5, will Torii then reduce it further to 1? I think it should and does, but those relics might be programmed to trigger in a specific order. Apart from that, thank you for all your Spire content Baalor. Don't have the time to watch your full stream vods (or the streams themselves), but I do enjoy the cut down runs on this channel.
@@Oleg-px3us I always thought that it would be interesting if they addressed the relics in the order that they are in the list. Then interactions like this could be different (not that this game NEEDS to be much more complicated, but it would add variation and possibly be easier to figure out as opposed to having to memorize everything).
No, tungsten rod always triggers last in damage reduction queues. So if you receive 6 damage, torii doesn't trigger, and tungsten just reduces the damage to 5 at the very end.
@@dragonmage233 Shame, really... but I kinda saw it coming that my memory was playing tricks on me and the interaction would be this way around. It does make sense, so I'm not that surprised. Thanks for clarifying though :3

Icecreaming, Scrying and Throwing pot at the fact I get to see this 10 minutes after it's uploaded
2hr
Punderful comment :D
Scrying is for the weak, I have scrape and frozen eye.

I I 🎉 1:36:51 😮🎉 1:36:51
I guess if you read the title as *just* really strong. As opposed to most Baalor decks that are ludicrously strong.
I mean, I'd say any deck that can beat A20 heart is Really Strong
The only good thing about *early* echo form is that it burns itself after you choose not to play it so you can cycle your cards faster.
Hmm, I wonder if my failures come from _always_ picking the path with the most elites.

Because the deck was about to be reshuffled so he didn't know what he was going to draw the next turn. If he doesn't draw block then he's dead.

32:48 when you press E in tf2
42:00 Why not Zap, Sweeping Beam, Dual Cast (8+9+16=33 damage)? It seems like we took 11 damage unnecessarily.
A neat card might be Flurry- its storm but frost orbs. Maybe 2 cost
1:19:05 why did you chose not to block the burns? Am I missing something?
Yeah does anyone have any idea what that play meant? Trying to figure out why not block the burns...
Panic button. :)
After playing panic button you can't block next turn
Oh true, I was looking at the relics to figure it out, forgot he had used panic. Thanks!
@@MalkoMann Oh ops! Yeah that's right haha
I guess you could say he Scraped by...
My first A20 win with Defect started with a boss swap into Astrolabe who game me 2 Echo Form and Capacitor. Very fun run :D
Dang. Most skillful spire slaying I've ever seen
Lol my body is ready 40:02
Damn close, well played indeed

So much luck with the electrodynamics 😂. Heart of the cards I guess
Such a satisfying finale!

Torii + Tungsten makes all damage 5 and below do 0. 6 damage just gets reduced by 1.

Scrape is my favorite card
It does go pretty hard
Everyone commenting should be liking the video. Come on guys when i am the second like
Do I have deja vu or is this a reupload?
Scrape is just better Cut Through Fate
i don’t really like frozen eye runs because fights are mostly Ba looking at his cards
which i know is the point of frozen eye
i just don’t like it
I’m a heterosexual
*Insert obligatory “first” comment here*
Another frozen eye run... yawn
playing with fast mod then watching baalorlord gameplay is like AGONY
Just play it at 1.5
