I just tried this today and it was super fun! My commander and guildies were so helpful and considerate every time I made a mistake but after some tries, I got the hang of it. And it was also my first raid!
Couple notes... Search and Rescue does NOT work to pull people out of the sand, nor does a heal scourge, but scrapper gyro can. Speaking of sand, you can hop into the sand to avoid a boulder bullet or the pocket sand wall, however, this does blind you (radiant blindness so it's not cleansable) and does about 2k damage so ensure you have the health for it and accept your fate of not being top dps. The pillars will buff her even if they took no boulder bullets, but only after her shockwave that cracks them slightly (they have yellow cracks). Additionally, the reason to move them out of the group is because they instantly kill anyone on the hexagon on which they spawn and the shockwave they make when spawning (about 1 adjacent hexagon out from spawn) does knockdown, cripple and immobilize. Aim for a sequence of Dps->pillar placement->Dps->hide behind pillars->Dps->pillar placement->Dps->phase and repeat 4 times... if you are doing 2 sets of pillars per 25% tell your squad to spend some time on the golem or consult their snowcrows rotation guide or something... that being said it's still killable but this is one of those fights that higher dps REALLY reduces fight complexity and makes everyone happier. Probably worth noting you really want to avoid using the sandpit as much as possible, because in CM it instantly kills you. May as well get used to it now. Alacrene and HFB are very strong here due to the projectile blocks that are abundant on those builds, and stability from the HFB is great too. Reason you start at the SE hand in split-phase 2 and 3 is because she continues to create conal shockwaves that damage players in a set rotating pattern starting to the SW. Directions... yeah this video and my direction are both technically incorrect, but that's because you enter the arena from the East... treat that as South and you're good to go. Everyone does.
@@MuklukRUclips Yes this is correct (as per the pet). So even tho a heal scourge as well is less potent, it is still pretty potent because of the well + traits + mercy runes (and naturally barrier).
Personally I don't like dedicating people who are supposed to catch the pillars. As long as people place them outside the squad everyone should be able to find the one he is to stand behind. Might have also been worth mentioning that starting behind the sand beam and only doing half the rotation is very helpful although not always possible depending on how mechanics and hit points align.
There is a stupid bug in this boss that Anet just refuses to fix I guess. Sometimes (and by sometimes I mean 3 out of 10 times I fight Adina) at least one member of the squad magically gets trapped underneath the platform and can't possibly jump to the platform and fight the boss. This usually happens after 75% phase. It's so annoying because it's neither a mechanic nor it is my fault that I failed a mechanic. It's just a bug that happens quite frequently. The only solution to the trapped person is to /gg since they are getting damaging ticks and there is no possible way to mitigate it.
Worth noting you can bring boon thieves to this fight, though they are less helpful since the nerf. If you put one in the same sub as the tank it makes tank easy mode since they'll always have stab
Ah, reminds me of some cool song lyrics... *"Among pillars of sand, pillars of sand, pillars of sand..."* On second thought, that doesnt sound right at all-
I might, but some of them would take 5 seconds, so I might do all cm's in one vid. keep construct for example: "same as normal, but room is 5 feet smaller"
Mission failed. GM/Raid trainer mocked our day 1 trainee's numbers on a training run. Poor trainee found an excuse to say he had to leave shortly after. This lead to 1 or 2 other party members needing to go, too. Session ended, but felt like the mechanics and boss fight were pretty understandable from visuals. The idea of Raids is grand, though putting it into practice with 9 others is a dice roll. 3/10, wouldn't Raid with PhD agai- Oh, this summary is lovely by the way!
Yeah it depends on ppl rly, my first experiences with raids were same, maybe even worse, but after that i found a guild with raid trainings and now i am still in that guild only in static group, we just cleared wing 7 for the first time and i love raids now.
I can see how annoying this can be I didn't hear you talk what happens if you fall? instant death? or are you teleported lowhp/downed/dead back to the fight? Sounds like fun and annoying raid as people tend to do mistakes even those who claim to be perfect in all possible ways.
I mentioned using revival tools to get people in the sand but: if you are high health you take damage hitting the sand and sort of "bounce" which can get you back up into the fight. If you go downstate in the sand you continue to take damage from it, but certain skills such as search and rescue and function gyro can save you
I'm not sure because I've only done this boss a few time, but i believe when you fall in the sand you take damage, are bumped back up (if the damage is not enough to down you) and you are blinded for some time so you lose a lot of dps

Man, you really got me with the "at 0% the phase ends and the real fight begins" i was like akifidknwjs for a second
Glad snoop approves of gw2

I believe if search and rescue does not pull them out immediately, it revives them while they are in the sand then they bounce out (if not on CM)

This fight is fun. I enjoyed learning this one.
After Q2 you can make raid series Get To The Challenged Point, explaining CM mechanics in raids.
Yeah I've got almost half of them recorded, shouldnt take long.
@@MuklukRUclips OOooh nice. Thank you Muk ^^
Adina first as you start from the earth and then you go to air, change my mind :D

man, like, i have bong and torch in hands, waiting for an introduction of "how to rip a fat one" over here
One note try Not to glide when the platform Changes as you may get stuck
if you do end up stuck please GG or you'll cause issues

what trait shares stab on thief?
Mooooom I'm on tv, get the camera!!!!!!!

this one is so much more fun than sabir
Hey! I know this boss!
Been failing this i wonder is it true the hand shoot projectile that can be block?
From the wiki: "These projectiles can be blocked, absorbed, reflected, invuln’d, or mitigated with stability."
You gon do CMs guides? 🥺 Plz
Not worth. Most of then would be like "same as normal, but add this".
I might, but some of them would take 5 seconds, so I might do all cm's in one vid.

Sounded like you are annoyed and angry. Made watching this video very awkward and uncomfortable.
Its a character. The entire "get to the point" series sounds that way. Its based off jocats "crap guides"
You must be new here, watch his other videos, he plays this annoyed character when explaining things.
