- We have been experiencing some crazy heat lately (aussie summers) today was like 40degrees and humid blerghh
So we had our playdate late in the afternoon, Pabu wasn’t really in the head space to go out as it was so hot but i really thought he would enjoy it so tricked him into the crate using dory 😂 so noooo settle down sjw’s they dont always share a crate this was the very first time ever 👍

We have some new free flight members so we all met at this location to get the birds socialised and meet the babies!
Just turns out we have x5 new cockatoos joining haha x4 not yet flying but only a few weeks away!

I was excited to see one of my quakers i hand reared (seen in prior uploads with hahns macaws & ringnecks) to see if he would get on with Dory...... mmm no. They did not like eachother at all 😂🤷🏼♂️
Dory had instant beef with young newcomer Kirby aka Kevin 2.0! 😱😂 neither wanted to back down but in the end Kirby submitted, maybe because Pabu’s banshee screams and squeals direct to the face became unbearable lol

As you can see little curly the boer goat came along! He follows his mum everywhere and is super gentle with the birds, Dory & Sosuke landing on him 😂
If you hear us laughing it was because curly tried jumping over part of a fence following his mum and flipped twice in the air and landing like nothing happened haha champion.

Please know that Denby is a new flier, hence why his flight pattern is so different to khyber and looks like more effort.
Squirt (Kyrans gf) is not free flight trained hence why she is in the cage... again it’s really important for people to understand that just because we are a free flight group does NOT mean every bird can, should or will be free flown.
Many of us have birds that are not suitable and just enjoy the outdoors and socialising, so trust that we know what we are doing and are not being evil cruel ppl stopping them from flying 🙄 to understand the processes of free flight remember to visit the website. I love how Dory went up to the two Major Mitchells on the hat and was like room for me? And I’m happy Pabu finally came out for a free fly!!!! The bubs are all adorable and thanks for the best ten minutes in my otherwise boring day (no NASCAR) not even kidding!!!!!!

yeah for us (owners) it's very easy to tell them apart (except when in the air at a distance) as we can easily identify by feathers, face, behaviour, vocals, energy etc lol

Do you think that all birds speak one language (vocal or body language), or do think it varies by species?
Jennifer Hasan i think they speak and communicate the way most animals do, vocals imo make up a small part of communication the majority i feel is done through unseen energy. You can have mass flocks of birds fly together without crashing into eachother and they are not vocalising or watching body language so theres something more.
even cats & dogs in the home communicate without vocals and just understand eachother. :)

In Mawson Park, Hillarys North of Perth there are a lot of wild corellas and galahs. I haven't seen any pinkish corellas yet but I have seen quite a few very pale galahs or galahs with white rather than grey wings. I'm thinking this is due to some inter species loving up. Am I right ?
I'd be afraid a hawk would get one.....
we have about 4-5 raptors out every single day we are out, it's high risk for pet indoor parrots. Just like the millions of wild parrots small, medium and large that are flying around alongside raptors so do our own with minimal risk. This is explained on the website in video description and pinned post :)

ive included updates on prior uploads and video descriptions :D they are not with me as they are out on property, i wont be out there for a few weeks but they are going well, not so much in the nest log but mating still and just being normal haha
Is the, I _believe,_ monk/quaker's (Dori?) bluish coloration a mutation, or does it just appear that way because of the shaded lighting? If that is truly the bird's color, it's very pretty. (And you may tell him or her I said so!)
