I love my wave rebellion pro 1s so I’m really excited to try the 2. I’m a 1.50 half marathoner so don’t worry about the garb about it being elite only. They feel incredible at any hard effort
Ran the Austin Marathon in these about a week ago. Absolutely loved them. I've heard the word "fun" thrown about to describe shoes before and this is the first one I've experienced that I can say "yes, it's fun!"
Interesting thoughts on the Mizuno. I’ll be looking out for the video with Nick’s opinions of the shoe. I’m a bit of a forefoot/midfoot striker like you, but my racing times are closer to Nick’s, so hopefully hearing from both of you shall provide enough insight to draw a conclusion
Loved V.1 apart from the upper that caused blood blisters on my right foot so had to get rid of them, would be reluctant to take a punt on these, even though they are good value for a super shoe!
I had these shoes about a month ago. I actually ran my fastest mile in them. The weird thing was you can really feel that stack of foam in the middle. And for me, it wasn’t in a good way. I felt it come through the shoe and hit me directly under the arch or my midfoot. It didn’t bother me on my 4 mile run but I don’t think I could take this to half a marathon distance with it feeling like that. One other thing I absolutely despised was the outsole rubber.. granted it was a bit cooler when I ran, but it just felt like super hard plastic underneath my feet. Definitely a very fast shoe as I mentioned, but too many negatives for me to keep them. One other positive I forgot to mention… They do look absolutely beautiful.
Missed you Tom so much, I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for your take on the new Endorphins. I won't purchase them until I see your full review. No biggie, I can wait ! Cheers.
I'm a heel striker also and tried the v1. Although I "learned" how to run in them, I ultimately returned them because I don't think I can maintain a midfoot strike when I'm tired. I'm a triathlete and I start the run leg of races after several hours of swimming and biking.
@@justoutlaw6423 I don't find them narrow but in V1 I went u half a size because the advice was that V1 is narrow in the toebox. I am not sure if they are right but going up half a size seems OK as I have plenty of room for the toes. However in V2 I will go TTS. I tried the Flash V2 and they are definitely TTS but felt less stable to me than the Pro V1. Did not like the Flash V2 at all.
On this video, and indeed every other RUclips video I’ve seen for this shoe there is a considerable degree of pronation. Definitely race day only. You wouldn’t want to be spending any time in a shoe doing this.
Unfortunately for me this shoe was way too large about everywhere in my size, including heel slippage. I say unfortunately because this was a complete trampoline of a shoe. I felt quite amazing, it was like an exaggerated jumpy training effect. For this reason I also agree I would not use it in anything that is not straight and flat. Returning it and testing the Cielo X.

Austin Half done in the v1!
How the wear on the bottom of your pair after that marathon?
Raced a marathon 2 weeks ago in this shoe. Race was miserable overall (cold and rainy) but ran a PB. I like it overall. Love the outsole!!
Hey Tom, we're all dying to hear from you on your thoughts regarding the endorphin pro 4
Spot on, Tom. I did a full review of this shoe in my channel and had very similar observations. We’re similar in pace and foot strike as well.

I absolutely love the v1 so hope I can find a great deal on the v2 like I did the v1.
I think I saw you on the trail the other day on that section along the fence.

Tier one glazer. Make your own opinion
I am a heel striker and slow runner but the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro V1 is perfect for me. No heel makes me land more forward.. ❤

Thanks! Grat review!
will u review the rebellion flash 2?
I’d love to hear your comparison between this and the Neo Vista
how about the flash 2 for trainers sections

I certainly noticed the lack of stability and heel slip and still trying to sort this out.
any high arch problems?
Which version is more stable?
It looks like the ideal forefoot running shoe. Am I correct in saying that?
Is the shoe as unstable as the original Prime X?

Returning it and testing the Cielo X.
How does this compare to the 465 Music
You can wear them both on your feet but only one of them will tell the time
I have the Wave Rebellion Pro V1. Love it but my brain keeps warning me of the cutout in the midsole.. Is the V2 more stable?
@@justoutlaw6423 It is narrow. Much like the Vaporfly V2.
Second 1th!
😅
I call these 'super dumb' shoes. so bad for your body.
1th!
