Thank you for posting these videos. I recently got in to board repair (Neo Geo MVS4 had cross-hatch screen of death - managed to trace and repair with a jumper wire :) and now I am really hooked but woefully under informed. The way you walk through these troubleshooting sessions combined with your 101 series of videos have helped me immensely. God bless :)
I'm sure it's been said before but I love the way you're able to explain all of this. I dropped out of an electronics program in community college after the first year and my little bit of knowledge that I learned in that year makes these videos very easy to understand. It's so tempting for me to go back to school for electronics when I see videos like this where you obviously enjoy yourself and do this as a hobby. I just need to convince myself it'll be different this time and I'll actually apply myself etc. Anyway, didn't mean to tell a life story haha. Thanks for the video and I hope you continue to upload these for many years to come. :)
Jeff Para Good question. My understanding is that that blue hue exists on space firebird hardware but not on space demon. Both games use the same driver though in mame and so when playing in mame both have the hue.
I finally got around to watching your update vid on the Pole Position clone this morning, and now I'm greeted with another great repair vid. :) Great stuff.
Awesome video! Great to see somebody with such a positive attitude working on something that interests me so much! Look forward to your future videos and God bless!
I made those analog samples off my Space Firebird board years ago The Space Demon music doesn't work in MAME at all. I assume they are using a doorbell type chip like Phoenix. I don't know what the Space Demon soundboard looks like with the music circuitry.
I also wondered about the blue screen, and I think that is a MAME issue. If you watch TNTs demo of actual hardware, there is no blue screen. Also MAME is missing the music, which also indicates the emulation is not complete.
Hi Adam hope your well. Space firebird is one of my favourite games and was wondering if you could do a straight rom swap for space Demon on Nintendo hardware ? I know that that sound board on space firebird drives some of the graphics and wondered if that would effect the conversion ? Keep up the good work 😎👍 Alex
Hello my friend, just a question, I got a bootleg of super / standard bubble booble, that has some enemy’s sprites that freeze somewhere in the screen and is not moving. I can play but the enemy is just stopped there. What can I do?after a while, of course, it restarts (the whatchdog, I learned it on your video 😀) what can I do 😭😭?

What about that blue screen that you saw in the MAME?
Probably an emulation issue, MAME is not perfect
Do more of these🙏
Another great video! You always have great content!
Totally agree.

Do it! Every teacher has their own style and you just need to find one that can explain things in a way you can understand.
AWESOME VIDEO!! What ever happened to the "blue filter" at 13:24 that was in MAME? Is that supposed to be in the game or just a glitch in MAME?

Great! Thanks for the reply. I was wondering why you hadn't touched back on that. But it makes sense.

I love these videos. Learning a ton. I restore pinball machines and often find myself repairing boards. Lots of relative info. New subscriber, thanks.

Always demystifying and inspiring. Will you still be releasing a 101 Video Logic tutorial?

Nice fault finding and repair big thumbs up
Very cool Adam!
24:19 Oh you mean like take the arcade cab out onto the porch?
Are your schematics printed out, or originals? They always seem nice and clear compared to what I'm used to using.
Depends. I have original DK Jr schems but all my others are printed and taped together
I want to know why you quit the Chanel? No more vídeos that is sad :/
He's back!
awesome fix!
Bon boulot ! :-)
Another batch of dreaded Fujitsu chips. Have you noticed that they are more likely to go bad than other manufacturers?
I think people are a little down on the Fujitsu chips, they're like forty years old, cut them a little slack guys.
Do blkdog7 vs popcorn machine
Great video! I'm looking for one of these boardsets. Please contact me if you have one that you'd sell.

Start by reseating the program roms. Sounds like the game code isn't executing properly.
OneCircuit i ll do that, remove, clear and see what happened. Thanks mate!
10:00 - what the heck is this device?!?
Oh you've never heard of the mighty Fluke 9010A? :)
