Hey Jack! I was a part of the testing for the Ecaz expansion - it's very humbling seeing myself in the credits to this day. I think the development history of the Ecaz is one of their most interesting stories - I am sure you're more than aware that Moritani were fairly close to being right the first time but Ecaz went through a massive swathe of changes as they went through rapidly fluctuating power levels, and had some ideas that didn't last long as they were being worked out. I think the design that got landed on was quite good! Have you considered going into more detail in a video at some point over some of the early prototypes for this faction, as well as potentially others you found interesting?
@@jackredathewarp Does that mean that the BG can deploy with Ecaz, not trigger the tokens when deploying with Ecaz then become fighters and not trigger the tokens as well?
@@jackredathewarp Thank you for the reply. This leads me to more questions and observations. If the BG player has an advisor in a stronghold already with the Ecaz and then the BG player deploys to that stronghold on their turn, they would ship in as advisors not triggering the Ecaz ambassador and then on a later turn, or the same turn if the BG player has the BG Nexus card, could switch to fighters, still not activating the ambassador token. Is this correct, because it seems to make Ecaz very vulnerable to attack by the BG, if they are intending on using their ambassador tokens as a deterrent.
How does the alliance co occupy battle go down when the stone burner is played? Do the unused Ecaz forces count towards the un-dialed value? It seems like with both armies contributing to the fight that they would both contribute to the un-dialed value as well regardless of which ally was point person for the battle.
@@jackredathewarp Assuming 4 ecaz and 6 choam co-occupying, if they agreed to use choams leaders and cards, and the stoneburner is played, say choam dials a 2 with spice paid, they get to add 2 from ecaz right? Is the the number of undialed forces 4(all choam) or 6(4 choam and 2 remaining ecaz not added)?
Question: I couldn’t figure it out based on the wording, but when the Ecaz Ambassador is triggered and you form an alliance with it, can Ecaz still gain Vidal for themselves, or does Vidal only have the options to remain set aside OR go to your ally?
The moment the faction enters the stronghold is when it can be triggered (and must be if triggering- for example, if someone ships in and Ecaz doesn't trigger, they can't do it when the faction moves out).

I’ve been waiting for this! It’s the one faction that nobody in our group has chosen yet!
Do the ecaz ambassador's trigger when the BG flips from advisor to fighter in a stronghold with an ambassador?

Can you put an ambassador on the HMS, Jakarutu seitch and or the shield wall stronghold?

Hey Jack! Quick question for you, can you Karama Ecaz's alliance ability? If so, how does that work?
@@TheC0MMAND0 not possible. Karama only prevents Ecaz from placing Ambassadors not revealing them.

Could you use the BG ambassador to say use the harkonnen ambassador ability on the harkonnen?

Ecaz can just use it to gain Vidal.
