Questions If allied to the richese can the fremen utilise the nofield token to ship anywhere or even bring a no field into their free territories at no cost? If allied to richese can the ixians send a no field into their mobile stronghold? If allied to the richese and the Guild cross ship or ship back to reserves a no field token? How does harrass and withdrawl interact with no-fields? Can no-fields trigger ambassitor tiles? Does the enemy of my enemy ability get triggered by a no field token and does jt target richese or richeses ally if the ally ships into the stronghold? If allied to the fremen can a nofield token ride the worm? Does a no field toekn get devoured by the worm if allied to the fremen? If the allied to the rochese can the frenen ship into the storm with a no field? Thanks so much 😅😊
Fremen cannot use the No-Field unless you happen to have the Junction homeworld in play that allows other factions to cross-ship. Fremen forces don't ship onto Arrakis. Guild can cross-ship Fremen as their ally (and Junction opens that up for anyone to benefit from if Guild allows). Ixians can ship into the HMS via a No-Field. No-Fields can cross-ship or ship to reserves when allied to the Guild. No-Field just hides the number of forces, so Harass and Withdraw works normally. Richese would have to reveal the No-Field in battle anyway. No-Fields can trigger ambassadors, Terror tokens, and EnemyOME. They are treated like one force. Richese's allies must always immediately reveal a no-field they use to ship (and Fremen can't use them anyway), so NO on the wormride. They do not get devoured by worms when allied.
Hey Jack! Got a quick question for you on the Richese Special Karama, when Richese plays that, does the Emperor collect the spice paid if they are in the game (since the Emperor also collects spice when Richese normally buys one of their cards)?
I have one concern. Richese cards have same back as normal Treachery Card, so how do you know if they give exactly Richese cards to their ally? A path for a sneaky cheats ;) Specially when no Atreides are in the game Also are you oblige to announce you are giving a card to an ally or not? It is secret or revealed for the others?
A question about House Richese cards in the discard pile, if the treachery card deck runs out, are the House Richese cards shuffled together with the normal Treachery cards and possibly put up again in the Bidding phase?
Once discarded, they are in the deck and treated like any Treachery cards. Note though that if Richese ever holds any of their special Treachery cards, they can give them to their ally, irrespective of how they acquired them.
I really want to love this faction. They have a lot of potenial, but they still feel just underpowered for me. They really have to work hard for small rewards. Atleast the nofield token number 3 should be 7 or something. Btw, epic video. Would like to see more!
When looking at the faction card under alliance it says that the no field token is used to ship forces from off planet. Does this mean fremen can use the no field token to ship to places they normally would not be able to get to if they were allied with richese?
Jack, if you read this, what is, in your opinion, the impact on richese gameplay when opting to play with fewer than 10 turns, for examply only 7, as my group has come to apprechiate. In that scenario, the richese can (and must) keep 2 or 3 of their cards completely out of everyones hands. Have yet to play them.
It probably doesn't have a terribly big impact. It just means they have the same options for up to 7 turns and some cards won't ever be added to the game.
what do you think of adding the Richese treachery cards to the regular treachery deck if Richese is not playing ? Thanks again for all the great videos.
If someone has forces in arakeen or carthag as well as the richese ornithopter card, could they move one group 3 spaces, then play the card and then move that same one group another 3 spaces?
If you are truthranced asking if you are playing a poison defense, if you say no, could you play portable snooper after seeing you need it? Or does it remove your ability to use it? The card only mentions the voice preventing.
Technically, the no-field IS shipping forces. But the good new is, if you use the Richese homeworld from expansion 3, it lets you ship forces with a no-field token (while at high-threshold).
I'm not quite sure what is being asked, but will attempt possible answers... Richese must sell a card from their cache each game turn (unless prevented by Karama). It doesn't matter if they have any spice at all... it just might mean they themselves won't be able to buy the card. They can't bid on that card if their hand is full. And if no one bids on the card, it must be discarded if their hand is full.
@@jackredathewarp Thank you! For me that will be not a problem, as I undertook a big task of doing my own faction sheets. I only play advanced, and there are a lot of mistakes in the polish version. I did all the sheets with one side for game setup, and other for gameplay, so you don't need to switch sides during the game. Watching all your videos about a faction, reading FAQ, reading BGG topics... But Dune is worth it. This game is amazing.
Every faction is over AND under powered 👌
By far the faction with the highest skill ceiling.
The more I play Richese, the more I appreciate their sheer flexibility and trickiness.
Fun, underappreciated faction.
Playing Richese right now on an online game. This is going to be a challenging game,

No, the Emperor doesn't get squat for this card.

Appears that "Sapho" is misspelled, at least per the Dune Wiki.

Basically, can playing this be in addition to your current movement values(like Hajr) or is it replacing your movement with what it is saying?

Richese cards are sold face up?! That's not in PL edition of the expansion.
Not familiar with what PL is. But the faction sheet clearly states "reveal and auction".
