I'm trying the sour cream marinade on some ny strips and a ribeye right now, pretty excited for the results lol
Let me know how it goes! On ribeye and strips you probably don't need it that much since they're pretty tender cuts anyways. It really shines on some tougher cuts like london broil.
I would take a rib eye and some sort of chuck, only put sour cream on the chuck, and then compare them both!
I use sour cream. It works and is the best
How to make a juicy pork chop? What kind of steak did you for sour cream marinate? How long to cook for medium well?
I can give a pork chop a try! I used chuck roast since it's super flavorful but sometimes a bit tough. I never cook medium well, but if I had to guess, maybe 8-9 minutes on 400 degrees... depending on thickness.
Just go medium rare :)
Toss out that sour cream - contaminated.
I hope he did. I cringed when he put the spoon back in🤣
So what made yawll think that A. He didn't or B, This sour cream was only used for this purpose?
Where did you get that cool air fryer from.
I’ve been using sour cream for a year or so now it’s unbelievable how tender your steak will turn out!
These are roasts, not steaks. When cooked as a roast, this cut is very tender due to high fat content.
What About Salt AND Sour Cream?
Nice video brother! Did a great job with it! I did it with Sour Cream and finished it with mayo for a nice crispy skin. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Did you ever try using plain yogurt? It's even higher in acidity than the sour cream.
I'll give it a try!
How long marinating?.?
Probably depends on the cut of steak and thickness. I generally go for about an hour on my chucks. However, if for some reason you wanted to try it on an already more tender cut like a strip, you could try a little less time.
you crazy...
Give it a shot!
Trying hard to understand what I did wrong. I had some eye round steak (cut super thin and like seriously thin) and marinated them with the sour cream for like 2 hours they were still so tough I was so bummed out.
2InGreedyEnts maybe some cuts of steak are just too tough and unsaveable. Eye round is on the bottom of my list for steaks honestly. Maybe also try to use the tenderizing hammer as well if you try it next time. Or you could try it for longer! I did recently try it with brisket for 2 hours which it didn’t do much of anything
@@airfryeverything7943 Super helpful, thanks. Yeah, it was all I had at the moment lol. So I'll definitely try the chuck.
At 8:40 the food porn begins
I do it the old fashioned way...I soak my steak in a Sealed container in the fridge for 24hrs..in Bitter Orange Juice n Garlic Powder..the next day It Ripps like a Wet Napkin...I loveee Soft Meats
Why didn't you just use both halfs of the same steak?
That was my original plan but when I cut it, I cut it a bit uneven so I chose the two pieces that were the closest in size. I honestly don't think it mattered that much since it's the same cut of meat anyways
The music background is beyond awful.
Just one hour for the sour cream?
Yea unless is super thick then you can go for longer if you want. But I wouldn’t do too much longer on a typical steak. It might make it too tender and make it fall apart
Air Fry Everything thanks! I have a chuck steak I’m going to try this with.
People are stupid to think either method of tenderizer works when you plan on eating a raw steak.Doesn't get any more tender than raw regardless of preferred cuts of steak. If you wanna prove something, show us how to make a well done steak tender.
well done steaks belong in the trash lol. Anything over medium rare is pretty much shit
I only eat my meats Well done and they come out tender everytime. Yawll just don't know how to cook
@@SupremeNerd Boast when you make your video to show us how to cook, otherwise blow somewhere else.
