Make them clean beaches for the next ten years not jail.
I agree with everything you are saying
There’s plenty they can pickup. Now that I’m thinking of it, I used to cleanup that exact beach to the north of the inlet, the Boca Beach Club. All F&B servers kept it clean back in the day. I had to call the Pelican Grand a few years ago to get them to require their beach attendants to clean up, they refused saying their forks, etc are biodegradable. Anyway, I was only going to post that I often cleanup a small beach along an inlet south of Boca. There’s so mush trash that washes ashore. I pickup 30lbs each time. All plastic. It’s devastating to watch this video.
I agree
No, cause then they will think they got away with it
They could pick up all the trash from all the illegals the Democrats are allowing to invade this country
Mom and Dad are going to write a 50k check and that will be the end of it.
yup
Yes, they will. But guaranteed they won't be letting their kids use the boat, or if they do, they won't be dumping garbage again. 50k is considerable no matter how much money you have.
I detect a new University of Southern Florida library coming soon…! 😂
Most likely the lawyer will get it reduced to a $50 littering ticket
is that why the inner cities are out of control? Mom and random guy writing checks?
Parents are apologizing and asking for leniency. How about the parents go to jail in place of their nefarious kids.
How about both?
@@jimwind7589 NowI like that idea.
How about we find out the parents name and post it on here. They want leniency, we should know who they are.
Jail because their kids through garbage in the ocean? 😂
Ok, then let’s put the parent of CarJackers in jail too.
Meh... after some point kids make their own decisions. Time behind bars for the juveniles with community service would teach a hard lesson.
so why is no one addressing the fact that it was a boat full of minors at a drinking event?
While driving a boat.
because alcohol is the accepted Drug everywhere
They were on the ocean. A big reach to prove they had the alcohol at a particular event. Now if alcohol was on board, I”m sure they would also face those related charges.
What exactly is a drinking event… ?
Exactly my thoughts. Underage drinking.
No, they aren’t paying the price for being on video.
They’re paying the price for what they did, which was caught on video.
Callous disregard.
My jaw dropped when he said that
Well, hopefully, it'll make OTHER people think twice before THEY do it.
Exactly! I found that statement a little weird also.
Ok you just said exactly what I came in here to say

It’s because these entitled punks think they can do whatever they want

Need to look closely at the parents. As an ex school teacher I can confirm that kids only behave like this because they’ve been allowed to.

Yeah uh huh. If your are X miles offshore, you can dump your boat bilge, raw sewage, and trash into the ocean. Done all the time and there are Coast Guard regulations on how this is done. Now taking all the effort to dump trash offshore instead of putting it into your trashcan is brainless unless you are dumping bodies.

Captain is in charge of the boat. He should get all kind of charges. How many were underage drinking. Was there even an adult on that boat which has to be a half million probably more. FWC should take the boat and auction tion it out the money into the intercoastal clean up the party area will need from all the garbage dropped at the party site.

@@raymond7269 Damn right got into 4 or 5 foot seas did the Boca inlet turnaround. If your driving a car while someone commits a crime your part of the crime. A captain is responsible for their vessel. Probably didn't want Mommy to see all the beer cans, or before he gets home and their boat detailer tells his Dad.
The original footage was caught by someone that films for a boating channel called Wavy Boats. The complete video is revealing because the teens very obviously saw they had been caught on camera and gloated in front of the drone, brazenly and tastelessly flexing and prancing to the camera. IOW, they acted like entitled rich kids that know mom and dad will put their money and rep at work to get them a nice breezy slap on the wrist and community service would be a huge joke to them proving they are indeed privileged, cannot be held to the same rules, and above the "normal" hard working people. It is especially bad since that part of Florida is gorgeous and relies on preserving that place to uphold the quality of life for residents but also attracting people to support the local economy. These teens not only trashed what people love but also their livelihoods.

BUT damn those are 3 big motors for a teenager to have on a boat!!!
Actually who ever owned that boat/captained it should be charged. It was their command, and they are fully responsible for everything that happens. If you have license to pilot a vessel, you need to know the rules. MARPOL
Boat should be asset forfeiture...
The kid with the T-shirt and trash can was the captain.
Let me it everylast one of them should be charged cause they all knew what they went out there to do
Just curious we're they drinking alcohol ? 21 isn't teens .
@georgejackson7798 At least impounded at the Sheriff's office charging $200 a day till they go to Court
They knew they were on video, there were multiple drones there that they were posing for.
They all need to be sentenced to grueling community service, the vessel owner held accountable for letting drunk, under-aged persons pilot the vessel and it should be impounded/registration revoked for a substantial time period.
Totally illegal. Unless you're a Luxury Cruise Ship business making billions of dollars.
Why charge citizens when the hoteliers all along Florida's ocean front allow beach goers to pollute the water fronts of their hotels. I saw all of the trash along Daytona beach back in the 80's, and there was a lot of trash getting washed into the ocean with high tides. Now 40 years later the trash is causing damage to the oceans. Shouldn't the hoteliers be responsible for the cleanup of their ocean front hotels, and fined if they don't.. And that's not counting the trash that cruise ships dump into the oceans. SHAMEFUL.
the captain of the boat needs to be charged as well.
The kid wearing the t-shirt that was emptying the trash can was the captain of the boat.
The captain dumped the 1st can
Geezus does no one do any of their own research anymore .. it has been known it was the captain Charlie Ruth since the day it happened
