So much better than millions of RUclips coaches talking about nonsense of the serve. The tips are precise, simple and clear
yeah but u never learn serv like this :) , u have to know the basics first
They only seem simple because he’s a pro. He doesn’t have to think more beyond those couple of steps. The other coaches are breaking it down further.
These instructional videos are good. Please keep doing them.
Next masterclass ideas:
Benoît Paire forehand
Federico Delbonis serve
Steve Johnson drive backhand
Lol
I am here today: 3/20/22.. Incredible day for you Fritz. What a great week you had, you put the cherry on top, your serving is one of the smoothest, very admiral trait in your weaponry box. You did it man, 1st Masters 1000 tourny 🏆
I am writing this on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Fritz vs Sinner US Open final.
Sinner just broke Fritz's serve in the first game of the match.
Either way, it will be an important day for Taylor) all the best to both
As an instructor, this video makes me feel vindicated in how I teach the serve. Some things are a matter of style, others are indispensable. Taylor perfectly illustrates the essential elements to a successful service
Idc if he's not playing well this season or whatever.. he's better than you whos typing about his career. I love these videos, please keep doing ATP TOUR!
He is actually playing really good this season.I agree with you those videos are great.
Dear ATP World Tour, thank you very much for these instructional Masterclass Series. Is there any chance of Taylor answering the question where exactly he tries to place the ball in the air? Unfortunately he just talked about the extent to which one should toss it inside the court (,,out in front'') a little bit, but did not provide any information where to hit the ball for maximized power with reference to his body position. A response by him would be highly appreciated. Best wishes from a deeply motivated 21-year old tennis fanatic, Nils Watenphul
Very nice.
Thank you for the tips 👍😘💯🎁💐🗺️😊
Great Guy
1:40 actually the ball is dropping at least 10-20cm, like with every pro's serve. It is a misconception that you have to hit the ball at the highest point, this would mean that you may not toss the ball any higher than the point you make contact at. An extreme counter-example is Berdych's serve, where the ball is dropping at least 0.5m.
I was about to say the same thing. It is funny how even one of the best servers on the ATP doesn't actually know the details of his own serve. Almost all players indeed hit it just after it starts dropping after the highest point of the toss. And all good coaches teach this. It is indeed a misconception.
I'd say that 10-20 cm is, for all intents and purposes, "at the top". But still, yes, many don't do so. And some even have it drop by a LOT prior to hitting it. This is simply conventional teaching wisdom, and there is a rationale for it. While hitting it at the exact peak would be difficult (to toss that consistently), the ball's motion stays in place for a bit at that point, so that would be beneficial. And if one allows for a bit of leeway as to what constitutes "the top"...
These are good tips Taylor
brilliant tips Taylor. i have a problem with my ball toss cant seem to get it in the same place every time. any idea how to do this?
stand on the baseline. adopt your serving stance. place you racquet on the ground. toss the ball. if it lands on the face of the racquet thats a decent indicator as to how accurate your toss is. as a junior, i spent hours doing this at the academy
My king
Roger Federer should probably do this. His serves are unpredictable, even after the ball toss.
Keep left arm (tossing arm) extended as long as possible..that will help timing
Yep! and it will also make sure your left shoulder doesn't collapse and drag the racquet down and left
Simple presentation yet informative
He just bankrupted the thousands of RUclips serve coaches 😄
Very simple but laser sharp
Top tip: be 193cm
I’m 6’7 and my biggest weakness is my serve
He's 196cm now
Nah
Anyone know the music in the background? Sounds good to the ear.
Alex Arcoleo- Endorphin
What grip does he use?
Sure nº 3 is the best tip
jo
What can I say, it seems that this guy in addition to being a great top class tennis player he is also an excellent tennis instructor...!
He’s so cute with short hair
Sebastian are you a man or women ? I don’t think Taylor Fritz is gay
BRO????
Tip #4: Be 6'5" like Taylor. ;-)
I've noticed that all the players on these master class videos use head rackets
Nicholas Jarry? Reily Opelka? David Goffin?
This guy can give you lectures on how to fix matches.
He serves like federer
Well, this is awkward timing.
Serve lesson from Fritz? He’s shanked so many serves this year. 😂😂😂
Also serves harder and better than you
It's a good instructional video but would be much more better if Frtiz wasn't having that 'too serious' look on his face throughout. Fritz is a guy who should've hit the Top 10 quite long ago. I hope he still can.
cuts like this 2.49 are so annoying when you are trying to interpret someone's style. Just keep the one camera angle.
誰か和訳して。
Even he doesn't know that no other big server ( or top level tour pro) himself included hits the ball at its peak. There's always a drop. How much of a drop is the only difference.
It is not how it actually is, it'show you feel/imagine it while you hit it that makes the difference
@@patrickmpalanyi5070 so just imagine like you're hitting it like Roger and you will?
LMAO. And how many 🍺🍺🍺did it take to arrive at that conclusion?
@@allboutthemojo I never said you will actually do it, it is about the feeling of it. What level do you play at? Maybe it only makes sense to some. I don't drink, sorry if I was rude by the way.
@@patrickmpalanyi5070 ok. Then I just misunderstood you. I play open 5.0 or above
He copy a raonic
Can't win a 1st round grand slam match hosted at his home country and yet he giving tips?hmmmm😂😂😂😂
Harun mburu r u stupid you don’t need results to be able to coach
Still hit the ball 200mph faster than u, and 200mph is certainly not possible
Respect for this stupid statement
And what tip you have dear Unknown ?? Other than talk shit .. I haven’t seen your name even in the top 1000 ATP
