Josh, since you said the building is surrounded by trees, why not do something similar to what Demolition Ranch did and hang a tarp over the top of the building.
You could get a cheap tarp big enough to cover the roof from Harbor Freight plus some paracord and hang it up over the roof and tie it the trees. That would eliminate the noise from the rain. If you do just keep one corner of the tarp lower than the rest to keep the water from pooling in the center on you. 👍👍

    7 months already!. 😲
I remember suggesting put the RCs sideways on the shelf😁
But by heck, I should get an "I collect projects" cup made up and send it to you but you'd have nowhere to store it😂
It might be worth trying EPDM rubber roofing sheets on top of the tinwork, it might help with the soundproofing.
    Here's to the next 7 months, Legend🍺👍🏻

Having enough space is IMPOSSIBLE when you have an RC problem... lol As soon as you have more space, you instantly end up finding a way to fill it anyway.

You realize that if you get to the point where your model building space actually comfortably contains all your unbuilt, built, in progress, junkyard, someday, finished projects and the tools, chargers, batteries, tires, more tools paint, adhesives, field box(es), and in your case scale shop and all the You Tube stuff plus the shipping/receiving dept. If all this actually FIT in your planned space, you realize that the earth would fly off it's axis, rivers would change course your shop would start glowing and you could hook jumper cables to it and charge all your lipos at once.......
You build EPIC Rat Rods. Let's not start jackin around with the fabric of the universe and actually create a shop space that works.💨🦠👀☠️😆
Your shop is really cool. Needs a 1to1 coffee maker and. 1/10 scale "barstool cart" for Bob.
I have Tamiya front I beam and the crawler axels, leaf springs tires all the gear to make the frame kit become a running R/C car. Best for last gotta wait till the 11th for frame kit and rear shocks.

I received my eBay front axle and ordered the wrong rodends. Hopefully money will be right when the next chassis sets go up for sale.
