I’m really excited for the future of this map and all the rares and diamonds. As soon as I hopped on the map I went to the lake to the top right corner and saw a melanistic whitetail doe and a piebald buck.
Nice. I went for the first time on the map and i saw a brown bear needzone with 2 males the first one was nothing special and the one at the back was a Albino brown bear male. I guess i had much luck to get it :)
There is a Raccoon Dog lure by the way... I'm not sure if it's been mentioned here aleady, or if you heard about it since posting this, but just to let everyone know: the "jackrabbit predator" caller does work for calling/luring Raccoon Dogs even though it's not listed. That caller lures in so many animals, the list continues beyond the box the list of animals is in. Another quick tip for any map... immediately equip & pull out the "electronic caller". Use it before actually making your loadout & heading out it so you know which callers you need and/or can use on that particular map. Good hunting! 😊
Thank you for this getting started guide Lady, playing the new map as I type- so far it's beautiful. And the wheel is such an awesome feature (long time GTA5 player) so it's great to quickly swap between weapons etc

The new models for birds are just gorgeous. They're so detailed, can't wait to cover my lodge in them! Behavior changes are awesome too, great guide Lady!
I've been a hunter for almost 22 years, since I was 11 years old here in Finland. I have never harvested a western capercaille male, even though as a bird hunter, its the "crown jewel". I have seen several, but they are way more cautious when it comes to real life compared to the game. They know they have no functional camoflage. Maybe this year... maybe this year :)
Thanks to your advice=hard work, I was able to bag my first diamond moose. It was at a lake you recommended-in the top 1/3 left corner, second lake in from the left. I opened all outposts and lookouts, so I'm ready to hunt all day tomorrow. THANKS again.
I'm overwhelmed with the abundance of awesome this update provides. The latest reserve is great, the game looks and runs better than ever (with some minor disco effects in Finland, haha) and the zone wipe out brought me diamond Beciete at Quatro Colinas, so I'm cool with this reset (my first, so...).

Big boi at 597,99 kg and 279,10 trophy rating. He was a light brown 5. Initial spawn, taken down during my first stroll up north. Found him at northern bank of the biggest of Nevanne lakes, west side of the trail (SE part of KUURASUO region). Many drinking zones there. I spot two 4. and a few 3. too, but didn't care about those ;) Hope this will add something to your already impressive knowledge. Cheers!

I mostly just explored today like just unlocking outpost and stuff, but then I have set up for bean geese, mallards, tufted duck, Eurasian wigeon, goldeneye, and Eurasian teal, I’ve only had the chance to hunt Eurasian teal and wigeon, and goldrn eye, but I have just randomly killed a goose forgot species, and I killed a brown bear

Wow! I am Finnish and the names of the map and the sunrise make me feel like this is not a computer game but my own country. Names are pretty much like that in the backwoods too where my family owns a cabin/villa or two. However I dont think I speak English as broken as the warden of this reserve. He must be undereducated blue collar worker from the same generation than my father. In other words, in his seventies or late sixties.
Mind = 🤯 Seriously, the sheer numbers of moose and whitetails is staggering. John Denver referred to W. Virginia as "almost Heaven," but Revontuli clearly *IS* Heaven! And the open northern section of the map, combined with drink zones, will make lynx hunting a lot less frustrating. Now I'm curious as to why they removed lynx drink zones in Medved? I came to this map equipped with the .243, the AR-10, and the .454. In the woods, the .454 is virtually unbeatable on bear & moose, but the limited range would be a huge disadvantage up north. As much as I love that beastly handgun, I'm thinking I might be better off... I guess it'll come down to where I end up more at. Question about grouse and ptarmigan; are they like pheasants & quail in that shooting them on the ground is a no-no that will penalize you? As of right now, I don't really know what about this map has me the most excited... just that I'm *VERY* excited!
Saw an albino lynx the first time i got in this map during the tour guide and i let it go bc i didnt kno if it was a rare or a regular color. Shooting myself rn lol

I am finding one of the best times for Geese is at night. I am seeing way more 3's and 4's. One of my favorite spots at night is -7121.882, 12030.955. Just above the bend of the Peninsula.
Why on multi-player with only 1 friend and myself on the map do random shots ring out when we get close to animals, it spooks them. Happened when I was stalking a diamond red buffalo.

A couple of hours ago i hopped onto savvanh to see the update for the first time on my pc ,go to the middle right outpost to the river and see a level 9 cape buffalo 300 metres away and i was excited seeing as i have never seen a level 9 buffalo on my maps or in multiplayer let alone a diamond i shoot it and it was 0.15 under diamond i was heartbroken.
Wow! Thank you for warning. Better not to update before I get Layton Lake done....preferably with a patch that gives me a diamond Papa Bear if at all possible anymore. Yeah, I would love to have HIM as one of the diamond bringers in my trophy lodge.

Hi LadyLegend, i got the new map after my game updated i went to te awaroa first and got a diamond feral pig and red deer then i went to the new map i really like it i shot a western caper bird with the 223 thought i had the 22 it would have been a gold but got a silver for shooting it with the wrong ammo and lynx have a drink zone in revontuli and not medved doesn't make sense to me, thanks for the quick guide video

Hey Lady. It’s Zane from a Few Minutes On The Farm. I went to the lake in Revontuli Coast for Mallards and killed three in one shot. Two of the three were piebalds (1 male 1 female) . I also have 1 leucistic Pheasant (female), 1 leucistic Merriam Turkey (male), and 3 piebald harlequins. Are those types of fur types just not rare anymore or am I just lucky?
Lady, any info on what the update did to the Layton Whitetail drink zones? I'm starting to look for some. Found 13 morning zones in the Southeast up through Roonachee thus far.
If you aren’t a fan of bird hunting you will not like this map. I feel Silver Ridge Peaks is a lot better than this map. Prettier and much more fun to hunt. The birds on this map fly fast and are harder to hunt, especially during the dark morning hours.
I know it's part of the game but I wish all ducks would be included in the original duck call instead of them adding more duck calls to take up backpack storage

All the maps were redone except for Silver Ridge Peaks. So all your zones will be gone on every map except that one.

Piebalds are so pretty but they're not rare anymore! Glad you're having success!

Apparently they're mainly on the West side of the map. They drink 8-12:30
Would you say this map is better than SRP? Also if you look at the top of the map you will find a mini heart lake from Rancho Del Arroyo!
