Great chat all through but the bit I wanna touch on is the little section although brief which he talked about the war pension. I was a TA Para and destroyed my back and a leg parachuting, I did carry on serving and did 11 years ,but after the inevitable deterioration I applied for a war pension and eventually got awarded a 20% disability, I think it was worth about £120 month , at the same time I was working with two ex miners who was awarded a 3% disability for vibration white finger which they hadn’t got and was coached by medics paid for by the NUM to get past the assessment doctors, they were awarded slightly over double what I got. I’m so glad we were shown how much the government appreciated us.

Been listening to these for a while now great podcasts every episode. I’m wondering if you would be interested in getting the younger generation on. I served 4 years after joining at 16 back in 2019 left two months ago due to mental health when shit really hit the fan coming out the other side brighter slowly. Spent time in Ukraine in 2021 mentoring had a rats time in Belize as well and many other experiences. The main one I would love to share would be my mental health crisis during my time in the army and to hopefully raise more awareness. If you’re interested could you please let me know

There is no limitation of age on this show, so yes we are interested.
However, due to a large waiting list, we are currently on hold with adding more people.
Use the link below, and we’ll see what we can do in 2024.
