    This was an absolute treat for fans of this MH era. Thank you Robb & Ahrue; it was so interesting to get some more insight into those 4 years of the band. "The Burning Red" is one of my favourite albums. Like Ahrue said - it will forever remain timeless because of its heart and soul, the blood, sweat and tears.

    I used to work with Ahrue back in the late 80's in Vegas at a sports bar on Tropicana called Sneakers (long gone now). I was in a band called Madman, he was in Pestilence, which became Horde of Torment, then he shipped out to the bay area. That kitchen had a lot of local musicians working there...Ahrue was THE most fun to work with. Dude is cool as hell! Doesnt seem to me like he changed that approach. I remember one time when he was headed to the walk-in cooler to put something away, he was screaming the words to La Bamba at the very top of his lungs, so one of the other guys locked him in there. He also gave me an Apocrypha cassette (yes, cassette), because he didnt like it...and of course i'll take a free cassette. He was part of our 80's Vegas metal scene with Papsmear, Pig Children (Mitch Harris' band before napalm Death), etc. Well, thats my Ahrue story. Good to see him get up that ladder, he deserves it. Good interview!

      Not all band departures have to end in bitterness and acrimony. Sometimes the decision is mutual and often times band members understand when one of them chooses to leave. It all varies from case to case.
      Look at Howard Jones and Killswitch engage. They even made songs together after he departed.
      Heck - look at Chris Kontos and Logan with Robb in Machinehead. They’re all good together. Adam Duce not as much.
      So it all depends on the circumstances surrounding the departure or firing, you can’t generalise.

      @@antona.8659 it’s good that relations sometimes improve over time. People reassess their positions and realise that life is too short to harbour resentment and grudges.

    • @Grimeyhoob
      @Grimeyhoob 3 года назад

      @Eduardo Viegas yeah I agree. Like I said, relations do sometimes improve over time when people reassess their positions and consider reconciliation as a better option than bearing a grudge. These realisations, when they do happen, tend to happen when artists are a bit older and wiser. Look at Soundgarden reuniting in their late 40s after about 14 years of no relationship and barbs exchanged over the media.
