    It's another pattern tutorial today and in this one I share how to make the patterns for a shirt dress.
    The sewing tutorial is on the way later next week ^.^

    Thank you Ms. Kim. I love that you do a lot of drafting and that you almost always start with the basic slopers to show how one can use these to formulate different fashion statements.

      ☺️ thank you for the lovely comment. That’s the beauty of having a basic bodice in your measurements, you can do a lot with it

    Thanks Kim Dave for this nice and very helpful tutorial. You've been a godsend ever since I start watching your tutorials. Please, will I draft the pattern from a normal basic bodice? And later add the adjustment? Hope to get a reply

    Thank you for this pattern, please I have a question, and it’s concerning the collar and collar stand, the way you drafted the collar stand by following the neckline curve, does it give a different effect in the finished garment compared to the regular way of drafting a collar stand( that is by drafting the collar stand on a straight line)? And if yes please what is the difference?, Thank you and please could you a tutorial for the collar stand of the shirt you wore in the introduction part of the video. Thank you so much 😊.

    You just mentioned that you transfer the dart but you didnt mentioned from where did you adjust it. Is it from the bust area going down or from left to right or rig to left. And please tell me the exact distance that you change, because im working it maam. Heheh that you and i really hope you will answer my question

  • @samuelgauthier2715

    Hi, thank you for this video, !!! I have a little question .... your center front shouldn't be in the center of the first part of your button pastel (the part closest to the shaulder) ? because if the center front line is not there we'll never be abble to overlay the 2 front pannels

    • @KimDave
      @KimDave  6 лет назад

      I'm not really sure of your question.
      There is the 5cm extension from the centre front line, and then another 6cm extension from this point that will be folded over to overlap the 5cm extension. Hope this helps.

    My question is coming late. I am a bit confused as to making a free dress. Do I use the largest part of my body or do I add 2 inches ease all through my measurement

    • @KimDave
      @KimDave  5 лет назад

      Foe a free dress (A-lince style) you use the largest part, usually the bustline and flare out to the dress hem.

    Much love dear.
    But this collar/collar stand looks different from d 2 piece collar you made before.. D stand wanted to look like bomber abit..

    • @KimDave
      @KimDave  6 лет назад

      Yes this collar is farther away from the centre front and wider than the two piece collar mentioned.
      This happened because I started my collar 2cm from the centre front and made the edges longer than the first one I've made.
