- The founder of Eureka says they are pushing ahead with establishing the whites-only town in the Namaqualand in the Northern Cape. Adriaan Nieuwoudt says this will happen despite public opposition. An interdict prevents further construction. Eureka is the second Afrikaner enclave in the province. Orania near Hopetown has been in existence for decades. SABCNews spoke to Nieuwoudt - who refused the crew entry to private land.

If you buy your own land , you have full right to develop it and let any group of your buddies stay on it!! If they all one race then so be it that is your taste...Any group of people can do the same...These types of settlement would not exist if they treated everyone fairly. Why not make North Cape an officially Afrikaans speaking province rather than obsessing about race. Language and culture is more important than race. Most Afrikaans speakers are Coloured not white.
