RC Seaplane Shenanigans

Got that sinking feeling ? It looks like we have not quite ironed out the electronic issues with this model, and as a result, i crashed it ! Never mind, I will mend her, modify the ESCs and try again.

That same issue with one motor stopping again 🙄 glad to hear she’s being repaired
I still question that differential thrust as being the culprit!

It flies like an umbrella with the motors stopped - particularly on floats (very draggy), so it doesn't take much to turn her over onto her back when one stops.

Sorry to see your crash, hope you manged to fix it. I had something similar with my Multiplex Partenavia P68 causing it to spin into tall crops. I had thought that electric twins wouldn't have the loosing a motor problem, I was wrong

Yes, she is all fixed - just the floats to go as they took a bit of a battering. Stay tuned to the channel for a potential update video for this. She is very draggy (especially on floats) which compounds the problem with a single engine out on this design.

It's a bit of a shame you're having problems with the twin otter. In real life the Twin Otter is my favourite small turbo prop twin and to see it fly as a model is great so I hope you get it fixed and sort out the problem with the right motor cutting out.

When it does work, she is lovely to fly - very slow and draggy like a WW1 biplane ! I will persist, and you will see her again on the channel soon.
