Thanks for sharing workflow tips! I picked up an Octatrack last week and I’m hooked! It can go deep but I think people make it sound more complicated than it is. That synth has a beautiful sound.
You have a Nord electro. Nord sample editor 4 is a super easy way to record and distribute samples across the keyboard to make any sound polyphonic. Then you have the basic shaping envelope and filter on the Nord, and effects of course. One of the best things about the Nord sample synth section. Super easy. ✌️
@@leftmono1016 It really is pretty great. I don't have that Ricky T money, but I do keep the sp404mk2 on an output of my RME UCX. It's always listening.for happy little mistakes.
Yooo!! Awesome video bro! I would sooo love to be this fluid on the Octatrack! One of my all time favorite machines, but also the most demanding😂 lots of love and thanks for sharing!
Octatrack never disappoints! I’m just wondering what would happen if you started treating the first chord notes with panning, LFO, and FX separately before resampling. It might get a bit too wild, but that’s kind of where the OT loves to be :)
This was awesome! I love doing the bounce down workflow. So easy to get lost in it. Trouble I always have after is getting this bounced down loop into a track. Did Schnoodle edit this one? Edits look slick!
I don't think it's overkill per se. It accomplishes your goal. Sometimes with the OT, you have to develop these methodical workflows, but that ensures you get the desired results. Long live the Octatrack!
You could just create a keygroup p on mpc.... i get that having these workflow roadblocks can get you to a new place creatively, but wow, this would have all been sooo much easier on an mpc.
It's easier on pretty much any other device I can think of... Maschine +, MPC, Deluge, Push 3 SA, even a damn OP-1 😂 - But the Octatrack is fun and cool because it makes you feel like a scientist 👨🔬

I only understood half of what was going on, but Ricky is having the time of his life so im happy too 😂
Deluge can play mono inputs polyphonically through some listening/sampling magic, sounds amazing
hell yeah, always love to see the Octatrack out
This has been on my mind for maximizing the Pro 3 for a while now. Great execution and sounds rad! Thanks for sharing this
Source looks and sounds so good😍😍

Good tip thanks
that octatrack MY IDEA WORKED! feeling.
Damn… I did not know you could send the Cue to a record buffer that’s dope. Learn new things everyday.
elektron heads reacreating the sp404 resampling workflow.
I’m new to the SP, skip back is a great feature that’s so useful.

@Ricky Tinez is money.
@@drh713 - I’m in the process of rearranging my gear, had a similar idea to yours - run my mixer into it and catch anything interesting.
I used the AutoSampler on the MPC to play chords with my mono synth, the Novation Bass Station II, can play it like a piano now :)
It's really cool stuff. Thanks for sharing this. 😎✌️✌️
Thats genius Ricky!

0:46 almost sounded like the ps1 startup sound
Real sweet sounds Ricky 👌
I did this with a Moog Voyager… it’s pretty awesome 😎
This is great Ricky! I'm finally about to dive into octatrack ✌️🖤
Moog Source = Moog trying to be hip with the 1980s crowd and failing beautifully 🩵
5:27 who is talking on the background?
Love it Ricky
Wow, that's nice. I have to test that one out with my OT and the Arp Odyssey. It's going to sound good, I'm quite sure :)
Awsome. Like it. Thx a lot
At the end you hit a banger maybe this vid was too short, keep it going.

how would you do with on a mki ot w/o rec3 button?
You can put down a record trig. No need to manually trigger stuff.
Hold track + MIDI button
It would be dope if Octatrack could somehow get multisampling.
I think I would overdub on a pickup track instead.
There may or may not be an easier way to do this.
Literally me every time I turn on the Octatrack😂
Pickup track? EZBOT template? :D

This is fun but, you can just multisample it on OP-XY :)
Yo Ricky, why aren’t you dropping it in the Digitakt 2? It is more than capable at this moment right?

@mrclaytron lol, fair.
@@mrclaytron I guess the OT mk3 will have an auto-sampler, too…
