Time to spend a day at our woodworking shop organizing, upgrading, and making room for new tools! Our shop has been assembled bit by bit over the last 15 years, and we have realized that some of the setup is not optimal for the type of projects we using it for.... all we needed was a rainy day and some man power to get it fixed up! Hey. guys. Just found your channels about a month ago and I'm hooked. I noticed a couple times, there were questions about carpentry pencils. MY grandfather was a carpenter during WWII and built houses for the ship builders in Portland, Ore. Anyway, he always said the pencil measured 1/4 x 1/2 so he always had those measures and didn't have to unfold the wood one. if you keep it sharpened correctly, it will stay sharper longer. Thanks for the great shows.
One of the most unique and cool kitchens I ever built used workshop cabinets with a stainless steel finish along with butcher block countertops. It looked industrial, but a number of wood tones including the countertop warmed it up. It also was super heavy duty drawers. Nice shop there Jaime!
Ohhhh! I like that! That would make a pretty awesome kitchen.
Should’ve put the heavy equipment on dollys while you had all those extra hands to help. Would have made it easier to move stuff in the future

I'm on low dose TRT. Started about 3 months ago. I do a weekly injection. I noticed results after about a month so 4 injections. If you are a candidate get checked out. Not trying to lift heavier at the gym but that is where I noticed it the most. In other aspects I feel like I'm 18 again. It works!

I didn’t know Jamie was so well equipped! Why don’t you guys hire a carpenter when doing the finishing work. Make your own stairs, railings, with the Cnc you can make your own cabinets etc. I made all my own stuff for my house including fake raised panel doors from mdf etc with my Cnc. My entire kitchen cost somewhere around 1500 including engineered quartz countertops. You could cut your costs drastically!

Foam inserts in those drawers will help Jaime I know he’s meticulous and he’d always know when somethings missing

Jock strap… hey I’ve got an old industrial dewalt radial arm saw that was my grandfathers. If you start missing yours let me know. It’s probably as big as your cnc.

Cool shop and Jamie is really a cool guy. As cool as the terminator fingers are, it must have been a gruesome accident. I can't even imagine. I think about my fingers every time I use a jointer, table saw or miter saw.
The "bin" dust collector for the miter saw is one of the greatest ideas I've seen for a shop. In reality, if you turned on the collector, you could just brush all the saw dust in the bin right in to the collector, minus the cat poop of course. LOL

@@jaimeperkins9606 Mad respect to you Jamie. I know the feeling, I've had my fair share of close calls twice with a kinfe, twice with a table saw and once with a circular saw. It only takes a moment as you well know. I was very lucky. I'm not sure I could bounce back the way you have.
im envious of how square everything is my recent bench build has 3 levels for table saw miter saw and bench top is about as square as a circle

What’s the cost difference between building on a sloped lot vs a flat lot?
Hard to say exactly… But it usually does cost more to build on a sloped lot. More excavating and more foundation to build up to level

There were parts of it in the farmhouse series… but we never did a final tour of the upgraded shop. I found all of this while I was scrolling through thousands of videos for the Time-lapse we did on the cabin build. Trying to stay busy while we’re waiting for Windows!

This is definitely one of my favorite RUclips channels! I normally get bored watching a 20-30 min video and find myself fast forwarding, but not with this channel. I could watch an hour or more and not be bored for 1 second. Keep up the great work guys.

Yes getting old sucks. Wait till you're in your 60's. I used to drive a truck for 60 plus hours a week and do light home remodeling on my down time when in town.
Glad it’s not just me! I love doing distance running, but I’ve had to really back off because my hips hurt so bad for days afterwards.
