Great video. I actually laughed out loud when you lost the spoiler piece while filming 😂

In hindsight it was inevitable the moment I mentioned I hadn't lost it yet lol. On the plus side, Alpine Stars got me two replacements in a couple days and they were pretty reasonably priced too, at least considering the cost of the helmet. We'll see how long it takes to lose the replacements. Thanks for the comment!

How easy was it mounting the Cardo on the helmet? Was finding the mounting location for the unit cumbersome?

Considering the price, do you think that it's worth it compared to other helmets? As a daily rider and not a track racer would it still be a worthwhile investment to make?

My son and I ride together quite a bit and he has a Shoei RF-1400. I've held it and the R10, one in each hand, often enough to know they're pretty close in weight in real life, regardless of what the specs say. I can tell you he loves that helmet, has had zero issues with it and sees no reason to upgrade it. Does the R10 have some features and capabilities that the RF-1400 doesn't have? Yes. You can buy an RF-1400 with graphics for $770. So the question becomes, is the R10 $430 better than the RF-1400? Answer: it depends. If you have a spare $500 then yes, yes it is. The wider field of view, the track safety certifications, the aero tech on the helmet, all are incredibly nice to have and I would miss them if I downgraded the helmet. But, if your finances are such that $500 is a big deal or you'd rather spend the $500 on upgrading to stainless steel brake lines and ASV levers for your bike, then the R10 is probably not worth it. I have had excellent, excellent luck with Shoei and Arai helmets, and I will be buying another Arai at some point, even tho I love my R10, because the perfect number of helmet's is always one more. So if you've got your eye on the AGV Pistas or the R10, then the R10 is worth the extra money. But if you've got your eyes on $500-$750 helmets, its probably not worth the extra investment because there are extremely good helmet choices in that price range.

@@MotorsandMischief thanks for the in depth reply!! I've actually been saving up for the r10 for the past year and finally have enough funds to purchase it. Unfortunately I'm not in a place to just keep purchasing new helmets. I am a new rider (about 3 months in) and I know that the r10 is EXACTLY what I want. I currently have some cheapo helmet that costs like 70$ it does meet the minimum safety requirements for the road. Thank you for your videos they helped a lot in my decision. Much love, I love your content!

That's awesome, love to hear someone so excited about the helmet. I think your patience in saving for it will be worth while. Order some extra chin vents from Alpine Stars. Enjoy!

Please let us know about the installation of Cardo system

It was a lot of work to install it, only because we'd never taken apart an R10 before. But its not difficult, just time consuming to figure everything out, and the end result is great. Its had zero issues since we installed it, all the wires are still tucked snug and safe in the helmet and the system has worked great with this helmet. I recently bought a new dirt bike helmet and got the dual helmet kit, installed it in the new helmet and now can swap the Cardo back and forth. Works great. I'll for sure plan to buy more dual helmet kits for any/all new helmets I buy.

@@MotorsandMischief thanks .If possible please make a short video about some tips ,exact mounting location. Did you stick the base or tucked it in between helmet and padding ?
