Its funny how much Sarkaz just got away after doing all that. Like, "We got what we wanted. We are leaving now. Bye. Also we literally destroyed so much that your status as a Great Terran power is now open to competition to much stable states like Columbia and you are most likely never recovering from this economically." Also spoilers for the Siege2 event but after the Victorian crisis: the entire country just turned into a republic with a failing economy and the best they could do to get revenge is pass laws executing any Sarkaz inside of their country regardless of whether or not they are collaborators lol.
Well that is certainly a solution for dealing with the Sarkaz Well the fact Victoria is even still around after their capital was essentially turned into a radiation zone is impressive on it's own

You know I feel like in the far future some crazy genius will try to merge the Sighs of Kings and the properties of the stone of the sword into one. Creating an actual magical realmblade.
I would not be surprised if someone pulled it off. Siege has once again brought the weapon back into proper relevance so it will likely have a renewed public interest
This channel's so based for non-readers like me I really do hope it grows bigger, the work you've been doing to explain the story makes me more interested in this game
I think you are doing a good job, with first explaining the characters in the events and then explaining the story. About the event story. About the first connection of originium and the sarkaz, I was confused the whole event why only the sarkaz had this shared death-hivemind. I know they said it was because of the first sarkaz king catastrophe, but they could have highlighted that a bit more. The Dukes betraying everyone and each annoyed my at somepoint. For future events with victorian duke interaction, I would probably surprised if they don't scheme. I was also confused by the sudden end of the war. After knowing that it was all just to free the sarkaz of the course of the originium, the whole war felt kind of meaningless. But the minigame actually gave some good additional information. But still overall one of the best storys in Arknights.
Yeah I had a whole section on the characters which by the time I had scripted the story section I just decided to cut it cause the video was already gonna be crazy long. The Dukes were seriously annoying cause they were only in it for themselves and by the time they started working with anyone the situation was already fucked. Only Delphine's mother had any idea of the bigger picture. But she got taken out early for her troubles. Siege had to pull it together for the home team. It definitely is my favourite story chapter. Despite any issues I have the story of Amiya and Theresa was fantastic
I absolutely loved reading through chapter 14 it started a bit slow, it took me 2 day's to get from part 1-10 of the chapter then the story went into full gear and i read the rest in a single dsy. Chapter 14 was peak and my man logos was the MVP+GOAT. I also absolutely loved seeing Amiya's progression as a character from chapter 0 to the culmination of everything that is chapter 14 shes one of my favorite protagonist in a game, and that cutscene for medic amiya was peak even better thsn chapter 8's gaurd Amiya cutscene, shes such a good character. And Theresa's send off was beautiful saying her goodbyes it was pretty funny when W was frantically looking for a camera to get a picture at the end.
The best part about this chapter is really how it integrate story moment into the stages and side content and that's why I like the Siege part the most. When she finally activate the sword, you then move to the Confessarius stage and get a massive buff from the Sword Aura mid-fight really giving you a good idea of how much and how wide of an impact that one action truly has. The side content with the stat-based choice gameplay also have the event pop up as a big boost to every stat. Most of the time they just stick to introducing the gimmick and then the boss fights. I wish HG does more of it though I understand it's probably not easy to do so with an 8 to 10 stages limitation in contents outside the main story.
They should definitely up the ante with the main stories. I'd accept side stories not being as in-depth but Babel showed the power of having a stage tell a story
@@bionicfactory1 Let's hope they continue to outperform themselves with the next act. Even if the story start out weak, if the player can feel like they're part of the story and not just reading a visual novel then play a combat on the side, it will be a lot more impactful. And considering the slow start HG tend to have for their stories, they will absolutely need it to get people immersed if they don't want the first half to be a walking trip snorefest just to explain the setting the story will be taking place in entirely through text.
I wonder how the writers at HG would make a story that is gonna be the foundation for AK:Endfield story. A story about Terrans going to the planet of Talos 2. That would be amazing to see and would probably be my favorite story event including Vigilo, Lonetrail and Babel.
I hate how the Victoria Arc was handled & I wish things could've gone differently. In the end I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth & I'm hoping Siege & the Victorians have their time to truly shine in future events. I'm happy Siege got to do something cool in the end & I'm now patiently waiting for the Vina Victoria event.
I'm still waiting for the moment we do get to face Theresis canonically Not the ones from IS, but canon as in chapter wise because I am eager to challenge the Regent of Kazdel
It was cool story, but i cant still understand what is Myriad of Souls exactly, and that birth moment of Sarkaz from Teekaz, and what Kazdel's furnace is linked to all of this?
The myriad souls are the Sarkaz's souls that couldn't join with originium Kazdel's soul furnace is the revenants of the Sarkaz rejected by the myriad souls burning to heat the city of Kazdel The connection between the Soul furnace and the myriad souls is that they were both victims of the first originium
My honest opinion of the chapter 14: It was a great read. I normally struggle with visual novels because its harder to read than a normal book, wouldve actually enjoyed it more if it was layed out like a light novel with the illustration as a side note but at the end I rly enjoyed the story and was able to push through :D In contrary I dont rly like Theresis. He choose hatred over hope, abondening his sister, killing her, reviving her to just abonden her again. He is no "hero". He stands with the hatred and feeds the hatred over shown over the last couple of chapters even if there is a greater good in mind, I dont think he will redeem himself and I actually dont want him to survive. (If I dont missinterpret his actions) Ascalon vs Manfred is something I wished to happen. Manfred is appearing so often and I kinda find him annoying. It feels like he is blindly following the path of destruction/selfdestruction. I smiled when he got stepped by Ascalon to just get dissapointed that it was only a clone xD The thing I liked the most was the Amiya-Theresa-Doctor-Wiš'Adel synergie and reuinion/closure. On a sidenote, I rly loved the voicerecordings of Theresa we got in the event! It gave everyone and especially her alot of character. What made me cry was the world that the simulated universe created of the subconscious of the doctor. Its like: everybody of us wished for Ace and Outcast to be alive. We wanted Frost Nova to be part of Rhodes Island. It kinda felt funny that the doctors wishes align with the communities wishes. :D On a sidenote: Wiš'Adels name isnt pronounced Wisadel. The "š" is pronounced lie a "sh" in english, so the pronounciation is actually closer to the translated meaning of the name. So u pronounce it Wish-A-del. Aside of that she introduces herself when u recruit her, so u can listen to it in the operator records :D All in all great video! U have an easy to listen to voice! If u have fun doing those I would love to see older chapters/sidestories also :)
Yeah the contradictions of Theresis are why I find him to be an interesting character. Like he's obviously chosen the wrong path but he at least believes it's the right thing to do. Also his relationship with Theresa is fascinating

Theress should have lived. Although i dont find this as engaging as babel, its still really good. But i feel a little bad about how thereaa was so resilient and firmed about her shouce just to stray in ch14
Well dying couldn't have been an easy experience for her especially after merging with the myriad of souls so despite not truly betraying her original ideals she had to do something for her people. Besides she had Amiya to uphold what she truly believed in.
I was wondering about Theresa's soul, the thing I did not really understand : They managed to revive Theresa but couldn't separate her from the Myriad's soul and that's why she had to go with it when she freed it ? Or did our team just end Theresa's life for the second time in the Assimilated universe and that's why she also went with the Myriad soul ? Anyway, she's definitely n°1 wife for me, gone or not.

It's kinda vague tbh It's what I think it meant cause I don't really see Amiya or W killing her Also Theresis seemed pretty convinced he would never see her again when she boarded the airship
I think she sacraficed herself to lead the myriad souls out, she took herself out to make sure they couldnt keep influencing sarkaz to commit to war. In a way, she achieved one of her dreams of freeing the sarkaz. Thats my guess. I miss my king, she was taken from us too soon. She should have came with us...
if you put ascalon in walter's role in the story it actually makes alot more sense, hypergryph just wanted to shoehorn w in for a game breaking alter. Ascalon actually knows theresa closely and theresa raised her into an assassin so the not so subtle implication that shes a mother figure makes more sense. W shouldof just been a side character the story itself literally tells you wisadel dont even know theresa that well before she died
Yes a mother figure, then how is she gonna get her alter, like what reason? Just because "mother figure" ? Override her name ? Name given by Theresis? In fact by her nature Ascalon pref to be in the shadow which suit the side character. We have been seeing W throughout the main story, we have seen her a lot in Victoria arc. Ch. 12 Ines, Ch. 13. Hoederer Ch. W. The trio. If your reason just because mother figure, might as well make Theresis playable because he is Theresa's brother lol Ascalon deserved more care how she involved in the story and the hug from the last scene with Theresa, but not alter.
@Fuwachi you missed my point im not saying ascalon needs an alter im saying she fits the role walter is in better. Walter had no buildup to why shes obsessed with theresa so much even though she barely knows anything about her, shes somehow more upset about theresa dying than fucking amiya and the relationship feels so forced just so she can get an alter. Whereas ascalon had proper buildup and clear motivation to why she would want to meet theresa again. Im not talking anything about ascalon needing an alter if anything i dont like alters
