Secret of Vulcan Fury was inexplicably cancelled due to game licensing issues. However it would’ve been an awesome game. In fact if it did get released Interplay would’ve had a trilogy of Classic Star Trek PC games.
I remember watchIng the trailer for secret of Vulcan Fury before Starfleet Academy. I was so excited to play it and then nothing. It would’ve been really great if they could have pulled it off.
I get why they cancelled Borg Assimilator, but that legitimately could have been a very cool game if done right. If they really wanted to soften the horror of it, they could always have changed it to have two sides kind of like C&C games.

It's surprising how many people don't have a working, tested, proven, intelligent backup strategy. And it's surprising how many people rely on single points of failure, storing their one backup on site in the working machine itself. Even professional people who really should know better. But sometimes this is just a plausible excuse. The data is precious "property" and the "owners" are hostile towards "trespassers". Numerous copies or partial copies of the data tend to exist - officially and unofficially - scattered across many machines. It's often possible to reconstruct (most of) the data when a serious effort is made. Although this does get harder over time. Old magnetic and optical media tend to lose integrity as more and more years pass by - consumer tech isn't built to last and enterprise tech tends to cost more than small dev teams are willing to spend.
From what i heard with A World for All Seasons it was cancelled because market for the 3DO was low and not many wanted to develop for it, plus round this time Spectrum Holobyte merged with Microprose. I dont think this game became A Final Unity as that game had been in development since 1992, it was meant to come out in 1993 but was delayed several times due to technical issues and the merger with Microprose caused the delay as well as Spectrum Holobyte had to move their offices and staff from Texas to California
What's up with sybok bring Spock's classmate? Was that a censorship issue, perhaps they didn't want the concept of half brothers to be in a kids game as that implies divorce? Also, it's likely that sybok technically was Spock's classmate at some point.
I wish we could have a good Trek game for mobile. I used to like the first Trexels, even spent some money. They frikkin canceled the game, can't play it anymore. Asssholes!
