- Threading a Juki MO-6816S 5 thread serger.
We make a mistake in the video threading the safety stitch looper. We do go back and fix it later in the video.

Thank you very much.
The video is more than wonderful and the photography was very excellent.
Thank you, the best people in the universe 😘
Thank you for this video
I could never have threaded this serger without your help
I will be watching it over and over
Excellent!
Did it not come with threading instructions
I can’t get the machine to pick up the “bobbin” thread (the first one I threaded). I have watched and followed your video - any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?
same
It would be great if you show the MO-6843S threading procedure !!! I just purchased a 6 thread JUKI industrial and the manual does not include it.
OK so when you’re finished with the outside looper thread where do you place it so that it connects to the needle and makes the safety stitch that’s a tad confusing I can’t get mine to create the safety stitch
Does this machine only create a 5 thread stitch? And a 3 thread stitch? Does it do a four thread stitch?
Super 👍
Excelente, muchas gracias por la explicación
Just used my machine for the first time and it’s going in reverse Mo6814s any help would be great
This video is an excellent resource, can you do a video on adjusting the differential feed? Thank you!!
What do you mean by adjusting the differetial feed?
Very nice viedeo,
Does anyone here can recommend me a Brand for overlock sewing thread and how thick the thread Should be, thanks.
Is there a link of how to use the four threads alone without the straight stitch?
You cannot do a 4 thread stitch on a 5 thread serger. If you remove the left needle you can do a 3 thread stitch.
@@Sewinggold thank you. What about the chain stitch threads? Do I have to pull out all the threading? Is there a way to leave at least that back one that is hard to get to somehow still threaded?
how do you know what the correct thread tension is?
Hi! Can you make a video on how to change the needle? Thank you!
Thanks you very much❤❤❤❤❤
The video is very helpful. LIKE 👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Really interested in this machine for when I have heavy fabrics. Can the safety stitch width be adjusted to be sewn closer to the chain stitching?
Can the Heavy 50H models work with medium fabrics also?
The chainstitch width cannot be adjusted. The 50H will sew just fine on medium material. The 60H is really the heavy-duty model. The 50H I would consider medium.
Can the presser foot be lifted 10mm?
Hi Steve, HELP!!!! I just got a new serger like this but the thread for the outer stitch tension is so much that it keeps breaking and does not sew. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong. I followed your video and the threading is exactly as you demonstrated.
When you slide the thread through the tension it feels tight?
Great Video - Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Oh gosh so helpful!!!!
What are some reasons you’d want a safety stitch?
Stronger stitch, stronger seam.
Bonjour
Merci Steve
You care most welcome.
What tipe of threads want to put?
Para qué tipo de trabajo es
Curious as to the maximum needle size and thread size that can be used. I have seen references to using 69 with 16/18's. Curious about 92 with maybe 20/22's. Thank you
I would use size 16 at the most on this machine. Depending on the type of thread, T70 would be the largest. I would stick with T45. Bonded thread will not work well in this machine. We do have an MO-6716S-FF60H that can use up to a size 22 needle. It can use the heavier threads. We have used T70 bonded nylon in it.
Can this be run as a 3 thread as well with just the inside needle? No safety stitch?
Absolutely.
Hi can you please help me to resolve reverse serge problem in this machine. I think I pressed something on system near power.
Check the motor rotation. It should run clockwise.
Hi Steve
