I have both the Maxi and the Jumbo, and they’re just absolutely perfect for me. However, I’m almost 5’10 so I feel they both fit my frame perfectly. I’ve never had a medium, because I just think it’s too small for me, but if the chain was longer I’d definitely want one to carry crossbody. Anyway, love your new mediums. Beautiful colors!
Brava Stella on letting go! I know how hard it is and applaud you. I’ve been culling my luxury collection and just sold several vintage LV bags to FASHIONPHILE and the joy those extra funds have brought me far outweigh the pain of saying goodbye to my babes. My new guideline is if it is spending more time in the dust bag than on my arm it’s going to bring someone else joy.
I had the caviar jumbo then sold it (too big) for the square mini rectangular and WOC, then sold those 2 (too small) for the medium lambskin then sold that for the medium caviar! Ultimately sold that one too for nothing in return except the money!! Loool insane journey, I just felt too self conscious wearing Chanel in my lifestyle and my circle, could not enjoy it and there was no point admiring wasted money sitting on the shelf! Not about to buy anything new at current Chanel prices, just admiring from afar. I agree 100% the medium is the Goldilocks zone out of all the classics and compact enough to carry forward as we age. Although the jumbo fits better on your frame I find. But with its insanely heavy weight, it is simply not worth lugging around!

The best size of handbag is between 9 to 10 inch in length in my humble opinion. The jumbo is too big for office as well. All miscellaneous items can be stored in the office drawer, in the car or at home. We just need essential items in our bags for immediate use…just my humble opinion.

Please don’t sell your jumbo because it is with silver hardware. It is casual and fit your body frame. It can be your every day bag in my opinion. You might be regret one day if you sell it today.

In the last 5 years or so, I have finally embraced small bags, and now there is no going back 😎 As a Mom, I was “always prepared” and had all these extras in my bag that I never, ever used. Now I realize that since I usually drive when I go out, I can leave bandaids, pain reliever, and all the little extra you think you might need, but don’t REALLY ever use, IN the car. I have thought about getting a single flap jumbo, but haven’t decoded yet. But mini rectangulars are my JAM 😍
I love the jumbo size. I have the medium in denim but it seems too small for me. I wish Chanel would make a size between medium and jumbo with a perfect cross body strap. I have the Maxi flap. It is heavy AF but I still admire it.

The classic flaps have always been too fussy for me. I don’t love the double flap. I have a couple of mini rectangulars and seasonal single flap mediums; Perfect for me. They look like the classics but more casual. I have 1 small vintage classic flap in gorgeous condition and that’s enough “classics” for me🤷🏻♀️

I love the small classic flap because it is big enough for day use and small enough for evening and dressy occasions. I also love the proportions of it. How does the white wear for you? I have a white iridescent medium classic flap but I have been afraid to use it due to color transfer.

Patent leather can be a nightmare in MY climate..HOT HUMID You dodged a bullet there. It will not last as long as lamb calf or cow hide.As for me I love caviar but I have a couple lamb skin soft as soft.Double flap is cumbersome and stiff not a fan. Sally in Sydney AU

I would sell the patent leather bag, but keep the jumbo. Even if you only use it once in a while, it’s there for you when you need it. You can always sell it later. Small bags are in right now, but larger bags will come back and who knows you may get a better price for it later when lather bags are more popular.

I ended up paying off my car instead. I still don’t own that bag. In a way I regret it because it’s gone up so much. I WILL own it one day!! I think you made the right decision. I find the jumbo heavy and I'm in the minority here but I don't like wearing bags that I see everywhere - I'm drawn to the seasonal bags for this reason. Okay after watching the video and hearing you say you don’t want clutter in your life with bags you’re not using…sadly, I concur 😔 But, I recommend not parting with it until after winter. It’s the perfect DC winter bag. Who knows? You might decide it’s more a seasonal bag and want to keep it!
I think you should keep the mini for the crossbody option since it almost fits the same as the medium. Probably just have to carry 1-2 less things to be able to get things in and out easily.
