Not only that, they are about to embark on a world tour (which I'm going to, let's fucking go!) that includes the US. And much like BTS did with Idol, instead of bowing to that pressure and going the easy way, they said "Nah, fuck that, you're gonna remember we're Korean." I love this group.

I wasn’t 100% sure watching their predebut performances whether they would be competitive in this extremely saturated Kpop market. Then Valkyrie came out and blew my mind. Then I was worried for their ability to be entertaining on shows since most of them seemed quite shy. But by their first comeback with Twilight/Raise Us, they already seemed comfortable and are charming and hilarious in interviews and shows. Finally I had concerns over how they would top their spectacular debut, just like you. And they decided to one-up Valkyrie with Lit, which also eased my worry over whether they’d be stuck in the “fantasy/dark” music genre. This rookie group has pleasantly surprised me and intrigued me throughout the 9 months since their debut, and they now sit very comfortably in my very small ult tier circle, and deservedly so. They came so close to getting their first win on Tuesday, but this has already been such an improvement from their debut when they couldn’t even perform their songs fully, I’m not going to complain. Their time WILL come!

Jomar Zabat Oneus is from a small company with no prior hype. They also don’t quite have the same growth Ateez has had overseas. But Lit has seen a LOT of international fans interested in ONEUS, I’m hopeful that it’ll translate to more physical sales for their next comeback. They’re certainly not bad physical sales wise, 30K for an album is pretty decent for a rookie from a small company. Time will tell if they can increase their sales, I’m crossing my fingers.
They actually came *REALLY CLOSE* to getting a first win. They were just 152 points behind #1 a few days ago on The Show. Sadly I think that might've been their last chance this comeback. The fact that they came this close so early in their career is impressive on its own though. They have a bright future ahead of them for sure.
Exessen the fact that they went against big vets or big names and still get super close is an amazing accomplishment especially when they aren’t part of the big 3. Now they can have the confidence to come back at any time and not have to worry about who’s against them. Just make great songs and have fun. In so many ways, this seems to be Oneus’ (and RBW’s) take on the different trends for rookie groups right now I find it interesting that Oneus have went for a ‘traditional-meets-modern’ vibe, esp when ‘experimental’ sounds seem to be in rn. They even included the iconic party dance break that’s often found in 2nd gen (think Bang Bang Bang) This song was also MADE for live performances, especially with all the calls and adlibs. This song’s energy shoots up when the boys get to play with the audience. The fanchants are SO satisfying I’ll admit, i think this gen of kpop is less focused on vocals and more on performance and self-production but Oneus managed to have all 3 There’s still mr in their perfs, you can clearly hear their live vocals or the few times they go off pitch. The fact that their vocals are even louder this era when this is their hardest choreo yet (which they helped create fyi) is hella impressive Overall, I’m blown away by how polished, artistic and elegant Oneus come off. RBW did a good job of seeing what’s popular amongst kpop groups and developing one that goes beyond trends.
You have an amazing point. Thinking about it, Mamamoo never followed any trends, Onewe and Oneus don’t either. Going against the grain can backfire but so far it helps these groups find their identity which is being artists and performers.

I was so surprised when they debuted, I wasn't expecting such a strong group with a great new flavor! This was my favorite by them so far since it felt more playful and fun! I'm not a part of the fandom yet but definitely on my 'to dive deeper' list
It is rare I like every single song a group makes that just debuted. The only exception was MAMAMOO and VIXX. They surprise me each time because I go in expecting to just find it an okay song. They are solid each time. Their lives are amazing. Rainbow is doing great with them.

I have been a To Moon since day one. I'm an American and the song and video is such a beautiful look into the rich culture that is Korea. I don't call the song Lit because while it was lit, it deserves to be seen as Gaja. I saw them live here in the USA and these guys perform so hard and give it all they got. Oneus is now my ultimate favorite group and I will support them all the way. To see this kind of growth in less than a year proves how amazing they are. Then learning that Ravn and Leedo write almost all the songs as well as Hwanwoong doing choreography just prove their talent. Keonhee has such a unique and beautiful voice and blessed with such an elegance that cannot be touched. Seoho the voice of an angel with acrobatic skills to match.Watching Dongju go from shy makne to confident center has been a blessing.I can only imagine what wonders they have in store for us To Moons. Too many people are sleeping on them and they need to wake up and see where the talent is. GAJA!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you. It's really a Song of The Year! Like, this is one of the song that will hook you to listen more into them and this is the my favorite song in the 2019 so far.. The music is so good! They balance everything from traditional to modern and everything is so good. RAVN Rap part is one of my favorite rap too, I love everything he does that's why he's my bias 💖
I'm re-watching this more than a year later, and I feel so stupid. I should have added Oneus as one of my favorite groups with 가자 like PD did, but I was stupid and didn't even learn the members or anything until I watched the MV for Come Back Home. Watching this video again now (and realizing I don't think I've watched 가자 again since learning the members) made me a little emotional and made me realize that I think Oneus might be my favorite group. They are at LEAST in my top 5 for sure.

I was honestly so shaken by this comeback.. in the best way possible. It brings a smile to my face and I feel so elated the entire time its playing. I loved the playful tune, the dance was amazing (dance break was actually choreographed by the one and only Hwanwoong!!) and all in all, everything was wonderful. I listened to the full album and instantly fell in love. I think LIT deserves song of the year 🤷♀️

I've been waiting for this reaction hoping you'd enjoy it. I wasn't disappointed. Oneus have done nothing but throw out consistent quality in both their title tracks and B sides. Kinda gutted they aren't promoting a B side this time as there are so many worthy of it, and just like Lit, very ear wormy. I really hope this finally gets them the recognition they deserve.
Plus Ravn's rap is 👌 he really made the whole thing just spice up even more and I'm glad to call him my ult bias alongside Keonhee who just has the most angelic voice. Oneus are the only rookie bg to really grab my attention and basically made me into a fan girl I've never been before. They deserve all the love and recognition for their amazing talent ❤🌏🌙❤

I have been a To Moon since day one. I'm an American and the song and video is such a beautiful look into the rich culture that is Korea. I don't call the song Lit because while it was lit, it deserves to be seen as Gaja. I saw them live here in the USA and these guys perform so hard and give it all they got. Oneus is now my ultimate favorite group and I will support them all the way. To see this kind of growth in less than a year proves how amazing they are. Then learning that Ravn and Leedo write almost all the songs as well as Hwanwoong doing choreography just prove their talent. Keonhee has such a unique and beautiful voice and blessed with such an elegance that cannot be touched. Seoho the voice of an angel with acrobatic skills to match.Watching Dongju go from shy makne to confident center has been a blessing.I can only imagine what wonders they have in store for us To Moons. Too many people are sleeping on them and they need to wake up and see where the talent is. GAJA!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you. It's really a Song of The Year! Like, this is one of the song that will hook you to listen more into them and this is the my favorite song in the 2019 so far.. The music is so good! They balance everything from traditional to modern and everything is so good. RAVN Rap part is one of my favorite rap too, I love everything he does that's why he's my bias 💖
I'm re-watching this more than a year later, and I feel so stupid. I should have added Oneus as one of my favorite groups with 가자 like PD did, but I was stupid and didn't even learn the members or anything until I watched the MV for Come Back Home. Watching this video again now (and realizing I don't think I've watched 가자 again since learning the members) made me a little emotional and made me realize that I think Oneus might be my favorite group. They are at LEAST in my top 5 for sure.

I was honestly so shaken by this comeback.. in the best way possible. It brings a smile to my face and I feel so elated the entire time its playing. I loved the playful tune, the dance was amazing (dance break was actually choreographed by the one and only Hwanwoong!!) and all in all, everything was wonderful. I listened to the full album and instantly fell in love. I think LIT deserves song of the year 🤷♀️
