Used a professional vet since the game came out and I just love how fitting it is. I used to run Professional male, but god- female Loose Cannon just rags on you constantly, and male Prof just takes it or whines pathetically. They need to give him some backbone.
His bonding conversations are great, but I hate how the Professionals will randomly put down the team for not fighting like soldiers, or calling them amateurs, or sloppy, even when they're doing just fine. female Cadian will absolutely dunk on him if he tries that on her. 100% the reason I swapped from Professional to Loose Cannon vet.
Let's be honest: The average squad of randoms may be individually skilled, but as a group are disorganised as fuck. No formation, no team tactics or protocol; just run & gun, hack & slash. Compare that with how actual trained soldiers IRL move and clear rooms. The Professional has a point. I'd say the closest I've ever seen to organised room clearing in Darktide was the video of the Kriegsman squad.
No, he really doesn't have a point, because he'll do it anyway even if the team is doing great. The sudden lack of context makes him seem like a huge asshole for no reason, and is why everyone else suddenly dunks on him when he gets all uppity. Sure, the rejects are a bit disorganised, but they're also slaughtering thousands of poxers each match along with, at least, two dozen specialist and elite enemies on your average Heresy or Damnation game. Unconventional or no, that has to count for something. So he most definitely deserves to get dunked on by the other Vets. It's even weirder if he does it to Ogryns, which he's otherwise completely fine with.
@@aRandomFox00 The voicelines plays regardless how the player squad does. I have seen it being played when I played with people who do proper tactics and people who just rush forward like morons. I do get your point though.
