  • I've always wanted to visit Monument Valley, which happens to be on Navajo Tribal Lands. Russ and Todd had to get back to work and headed to Colorado, but Ron and I, being retired, extended our Moab trip by staying a night in Mexican Hat, Utah. We got to the motel a bit after noon and ran down the road to see Monument Valley. Two hours later we were on the second leg of our ride heading north to Moki Dugway (Utah State Road 261) and Valley of the gods dirt road (a better deal and a better ride than Monument Valley). See that video when I get it posted. I enjoyed seeing the part of US163 which was featured in the Forrest Gump movie.

ok i can see im gonna be stuck on your channel for many hours these are GREAT films love this area. This is the best Monument Valley vid i have found so far. Like you said, this is a tourist area that gets crowded// and looks like you were there on a light day. We would stop at the viewpoints and try to move on in between groups of cars to avoid dust, loved the place so much we were there 5 hours just stopping and looking... There were Way more vendors along the road when i went. We bought as much as we could, that's all they really have for income. People often see it as a tourist trap type place. They are so poor they took their most important site and let us on it, i felt lucky to get to see it in person i'll go back for sure.

thanks. for the last week, my wife and I were through grand canyon, monument valley, valley of the gods, and arches on the way up from Puerto Penasco in Mexico. now that I am back in Colorado, I'll post more vids, unfortunate, they are from my pick up, not my KTM.
