    Next time just use a magnetic angle finder. I’m doing mine now with that. First set up axles with spring perches level, and then put angle finder on pinion. Mine was about 6 degrees. Then do the same with the new axle.
    I hope your axle width was the same, as mine is wider. I saw you measuring from the brake dust shields for the perches, and I was like “oh no”! 😂
    I’m going to put the new axle under the truck, with the spring perched and unbolts on loosely. Get them where they need to be, at the correct angle, and then tack the perches to the axle. Pull axle and finish weld.

    Where did your donor 14 bolt come from? 72 chevy? And what was it going in? Thanks

      The rear cam from a 2005 HD Chevy and going in to my 72 Chevy 2500 With the Cummins being built to a 600+ hp deisel Ill need that rear.

    What type of welder and wire did you use for the perches?

      My friend Danny who is doing the welding uses a Miller and the wire was 030. He used that to weld hitches, buckets on bobcats its like his choice unless he doing body welding then i'm not sure what he uses.
