Hello Lauren and thank you so much, you and everyone are just the absolute loveliest. It’s actually “rag and bone men” but I think it’s the same thing you are describing, I think they can make a profit by collecting scrap metal etc. I just googled rag and bone men and it says they’ve been around England since the Middle Ages!! 🥰
When you had the table upside down, saw off the two legs closest to the camera. Then saw the frame so that the whole thing is level, keeping it upside down. Hugs from Kentucky, USA! 🤗 🇺🇸♥️🇬🇧 Update: I agree with Richard. I used a large blow up ball like they use for exercising to keep water from collecting on my tarp. Hi there JC and thank you - you and everyone else are just so motivating and encouraging. You lift my spirits. Hi there Sharon and thank you for your very lovely comments. Hi Janette, I would have been happy to come help you but there's an ocean and 3500 miles between us. What you call a rags and bones man, we a junk man or a scrap man here in the states. We had a show in the early 70's called Sanford and Son, which is the credits stated it was based on Steptoe and Son. As for your cover, there is an inflatable ball that people put under their pool cover to prevent the cover from filling with water over the winter, I would think it would work the same way under your garden furniture. They're fairly inexpensive.
Hello!! Come on over anyway 😊😊 yes I think our rag and bone men are the same thing, they collect things like scrap metal and then they take them somewhere (not sure where!) and make a profit selling things on. And how interesting, I’ll have to see if I can find Sanford & Son on YT. Always lovely to chat with you 🥰
Oh bless, yes you are right!! 😁 I actually have a public path the other side of my fences and they can hear people walking past, sometimes chatting on their phones, and they like to protect the garden 😊

I used to love Steptoe & Son, back in the days when there wasn’t many channels and everyone used to watch the same programmes!! Hard to imagine just 3 channels to choose from isn’t it? Have a very happy day 🥰
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener We are showing our age with these TV shows Janette!!! Another favourite in our household was Dixon of Dock Green (Good evening all)... Talk about a trip down memory lane!
Never actually watched Dixon of Dock Green but I do remember Jack Warner’s “evening all” - yes, we could chat about old programmes all day 🤣🥰
Hi!, What a nice surprise to see you!! I held my breathe the whole time with you on that glass! Whew!!😀 I've got some cleaning up to do myself but I refuse to put table and chairs away yet. I have high hopes of some warmer weather yet!! Have a great week!!
Hello Peggy, oh yes I held my breath too!!! If I put them all away, it’s bound to stay nice - my reverse psychology 🤣🤣🥰
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener Great thinking!! lol
Thank you for continuing to share your experiences. I garden in Staten Island, NY Zone 7 and I really enjoy your channel!!
Hello and thank you so much! Staten Island sounds a wonderful place to be! I’ve been to New York City maybe 3 times but only on a one day stop over on a cruise (Southampton to New York) so haven’t really been able to do anything other than the main sights really quickly, but I absolutely loved it. Lovely to chat with you 🥰
I'm a bit late. You were making me nervous moving the glass but made me feel better. I change my mind multiple times while in the garden.😊. Going to watch your fall garden tour now.
Hey Adra, thanks for watching 🥰 I was nervous moving the glass too 🤣🤣
You do you so well and I love your videos!!
You’re the best! 🥰
Hey Janette! Thanks for the reminder! I do need to be doing this too. 😉
Hello my lovely Nikki, how are your beautiful pups doing? I’m so glad it has all cooled down finally, gosh it was a struggle trying to keep the garden going this summer. We can have a lovely rest soon. Take care 🥰
So good to see you, I thought we were going to have to come to Essex!!!! xx
🤣🤣 come on down anyway 🥰
Glad your still doing videos
Oh thank you so much Iris 🥰
I'm so glad you were convinced to keep going on RUclips! I love your videos, and I never find them boring. You have such good humor, as well as a beautiful garden. If you think about it, all the gardening RUclipsrs have some repetition. That's just how the gardening year is!
Hi there Sharon and thank you for your very lovely comments. That’s the trouble with gardening on a YT channel, everyone is doing the exact same thing at the same times (pruning, bulb planting etc etc), unless you live in Australia I suppose 🤣 but you’ve all been so reassuring, I do appreciate that. 🥰
Yes Jenette this message is so true! It doesnt matter how long or ahort your videos are… we just like to see tou even if its just for a minute. Please know your worth!!! You are a bright light to all our days!!! Sometimes the sun will only shine for an hour and we are so happy to see it. That is how we feel about you.
Liz what can I say to a wonderful comment like yours, except 🙏😍
Really look forward to your little Autumn series of videos! Best Wishes.
Oh thank you so much!! You’re all so very lovely 🥰
Always lovely to chat with you 🥰
Could Richard cut up the table and create a trellis with the metal pieces? 😊
Hello Kylie 😍 I’ve had another suggestion, similar to yours I think, so I’m going to look into this, before the rag and bone men get here 🤣🥰
Dogs aren't being naughty, they are just talking.
Oh bless, yes you are right!! 😁 I actually have a public path the other side of my fences and they can hear people walking past, sometimes chatting on their phones, and they like to protect the garden 😊
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener I would love to see them sometime! :)
They are in most of my videos, I have 2 bichon Frise sisters who are nearly 10 now and just adorable 🥰
Hello!!!🇺🇸💏✌🌷🌵🌼
