This presentation will provide an overview of several different examples of teaching philosophies. A teaching philosophy is required to be written in any undergraduate education program. Often times a teacher interviews, the question comes up such as what is you philosophy on teaching. There are many examples out there to choose from. In this presentation, you'll be able to get your own idea based on what was written by other educators. I encourage educators to share this video with their students as I believe it will help them succeed academically. This video is part of an instructional playlist from teachings in education and Frank Avella. Other videos in the playlist cover topics such as Curriculum, Inquiry based learning, Classroom Management, Differentiated Instruction, and much more.

How does a teacher's personal philosophy about teaching and learning affect his or her beliefs about classroom management?

I don't understand the concept of telling students that they are 'family' or 'friends'. The reason is because a family isn't the same as a classmate, nor is a friend. So aren't you essentially lying to them? Should a student think I will treat them like a son or brother? They don't seem the same at all.
