Larger than life Cliff and his ilk don't get much airtime at places like the Beeb because they are too unpredictable for the corps precious values. Hazel was trying to steer Cliff like a boat as if he was one of her panel shows. In a very relaxed setting, she was anything but. I really don't like her. She is part of the trinity; Hazel, Sue Barker and Clare Balding. Fitting the BBCs idea of being just crumpet enough for the blokes, but could be your gran too. For far too long they have dominated sports and event presenting at the corporation, and the Beeb are the last people to realise how stale these three are. BUT THEY ARE SAFE. Too safe as demostrated by the above clip.
