I made a thread about this in the Reddit hearthstone page and everyone except an obvious Reno warrior agreed the class blows. What a cheesy ass way to win, it’s gimmicky, has so many ways to win, I’m surprised there weren’t balances or bans for some of the cards
I hate that Reno warrior can be piloted like an actual ape and will still win any control matchup 90/10. The only way to stop it in control matchups is burning at least two of the three of Reno/Brann/Boomboss. And even then it's hardly guaranteed.
Hell, roffle only drew 1 of the tnt’s and still lost to the backup win con of incindius. It has too many ways to win and too many ways to stall to get there, especially against another control deck
Tbh Warrior deserved to win that game, Roffle would only have won due to him being lucky and not drawing Tnt. Also Orb mage and Control DK usually bests Reno Warrior.
Every time I want to get back into hearthstone again I watch a recent video of either warrior, druid, mage, demon hunter, rogue, priest, hunter, shaman, death knight, paladin or warlock and I remember how awful the game can feel now. Suddenly I don't feel like playing anymore :)
I think it was more how it didn't sync up with the rest of the warrior's plays They spent creature damage spells to ensure puppet theatre wouldn't take Brann but then just played a ton of other good targets anyway? It just seemed odd.
Once a bomb warrior had his best game of his life with max rng and filled my deck with dirty stuffs, but Narain saved me. He let me have a glimps of the future and I always held 10 cards in my hand when bombs were coming. It was a crazy game.
I feel so vindicated seeing warrior taking T.N.T after T.N.T, such an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately this Brann Incindius combo is so damn stupid and uncounterable for other late game decks i feel like

That got down to the wire! I imagine the winning line may have been to set up the weapon soon after they played the vipor to start racking up armor in anticipation though still greatly played!
boomboss is really the insufferable part of warrior right now. pretty much every controlly deck has essentially infinite value: you kind of need it at this point, but boomboss also essentially destroying your opponents resources at every level; board, hand, and deck, is just so unbelievably unfun to play against.
@@FredGoldustDraw by nature advances your game plan. This is basically a version of a card that discovers a copy from your deck. And instead of choosing out of 3 you only ever see the top card in your deck. It's only value and not really the type that most decks need
How to fix Boomboss: Give him the Zarimi treatment. 3 bombs feel fair, 6-18 bombs does not. Powerful late game battlecries should only be able to go off a limited number of times. How to fix Brann: Keep the duplicate restriction, lower the mana cost, and make it only work for your next three battlecries. Brann is still a value engine, but now the player needs to be more conscious of when they play Brann. This being said, I almost feel control decks need an infinite value engine or win condition to be viable. DK has the Headless Horseman and Helya. Warlock has Jaraxxus and Sargeras. Shaman has the Shudderblock/Incindius combo. I even played a big reno paladin who kept spamming high value minions off the mirage.

Even lucking into double theatre with a boomboss on the opponents side was not enough. Reno Warrior's late game is just dumb. Adding Renethal back into the game also made zero sense. Can't wait for 40 card decks to leave.

Next turn the 2 Zola copies of incindius, were played on the same turn, for 20 1 damage eruptions, which then got buffed by 1 twice, so up to 3. Those first 10 eruptions were already at 2 damage and got the same +2. So the first 10 deal 4 damage and the other 20 deal 3.

Edit: Ive been saying it sicne release and will say it again: Brann has no right being this good and a ''for the rest of the game'' effect. All of the other HL classes have some fringe one-time effects that requires a deck/setup built around them while Brann only requires you to play the dumb card and you can outvalue anything and anyone for the rest of the game. The card shouldve read ''Double the effect of your next 3 battlecries'' as it would make it still a much better reward than the others while not being as oppressive and only a one-time effect similar to the others that requires bouncing. Also Warrior, following the lore of the badlands expansion, was mainly a excavate class, theres no right for a mini-set to make them become the only playable HL deck while completely dropping the entire excavate package and leaving the other HL classes not even have playable HL decks and no excavate counterparts.
As a casual Hearthstone player from years ago I find these videos hilarious. Now every second card is a legendary through discovery and this opponent gets infinite face damage and board clears without any penalty. At least in the 'good old days' the designers would have had the decency to let you take face damage if you damaged both the board and your opponent or limit your card draw to stop this clown show from happening..
My first thought when i saw Brann released in the badlands mini set was, "Blizzard REALLY wants warrior to be meta huh?". Almost a year later, they added more abusable cards and let them have access to one of Hearthstone's most broken mechanics, mana ramp. They didn't just want warrior to be meta. They were going to force it one way or another.
honestly ngl thief priest is an even more obnoxious deck than the warrior one. that one at the very least is a slow controlly deck that can be out-tempoed. thief priest is just full out scam with no wincon other than generating or stealing cards from your opponent. tnt highlander warrior is pretty easy to beat all things considered, it's slow. thief priest just punishes you for playing the game at all.

brann shouldn't double battlecries at all tbh, he should double excavates instead, it'd be better flavour for the set too
