Mark is uncorrupted and loyal to his passion and plays a free man , thats music . Forget “the best” it’s a systemic way to exclude the real everyday players , check the net the amount of fantastic players couldn’t be counted . Mark’s face says it all .lol I’ll keep plodding !🇦🇺
Amazing how people just walk past yet would pay a small fortune to see a guitar player with chops like that in a staged venue! Crazy....
You know what's even crazier? I can go home and blast guitarists who are 1000 times better than him for free. I would go see them play live, but they're all dead.
I mean Not really that crazy Most musicians can't pay the bills with their music A lot of it is right place right time right right person hearing it in the right mood The cream doesn't always rise to the top my dude

Some of the best musicians in the world are backroom players, and we may never get to hear them, this guy knows his skill...
Ive worked with some session guys that are VERY good, but nobody knows who they are.
Exactly, William! I was a studio musician between bands, very good at picking other ppls’ music and improving on it. I actually wrote in some neat changes for a few guys, some of them I know you’ve heard of, but they used my changes and I never got a mention! In fact! I got duped a few times. When you know the studio owners, it feels like a real smack in the face, kinda stings after awhile…
@@pugilemoltobene3708 and then you have guys like Tim Pierce, who are complete animals in the studio. He has played on everything from adel to shine down. But ask the average person if they know who he is, and they wouldn’t have a clue, but I guarantee they’ve heard him play lol

@@williamsporing1500 hey, Bill - yeah, I didn't care about the recognition. In one particular case, I was supposed to be paid directly by the band upon completion... and they used my recordings and changes at another studio for their album. I won't mention the studio producer, either, he's quite famous as well...known him for decades; he just said
'well, think of it like this - no contract with you, they know who you are, and they're thinking you can't do anything to enforce getting your money! c'mon! these guys are gypsies!' When I heard my shit on an album that ended up selling a few million copies (this was before everything was ALL digital). hopefully, you'll never know that feeling - that brush with potential life-changing wealth that YOU produced but someone else took from you.
Great playing and fine tone. Not all of the world's greatest players make it big or even go recognized. This guy is great.

Not all the best guitarists are playing stadiums, this guy is good and deserves more recognition of his talent.

He makes every note count. If he were shredding up and down the fretboard, it would get boring real fast. A perfect example of less is more.

Mark always plays a few miles down from me in Carmarthen town. Plays beautifully when ever he busks, heart and Soul goes into every note he plays. Incredible guitarist and lovely feller. :)

thats a levingson blade guitar with a Stratocaster law suite headstock .i would say about 1500 quid's worth . i haven't got one as they are bit pricey for me and i sure as hell aint poor . but i suppose poor is relative

I came to the conclusion 30 years ago that the general public wouldn’t know good music if it bit them in the ass.
People walking by paying no attention to his beautiful playing. See, it’s not just Americans who are dumb.
People have places to go' people to see and money to spend.... most of those people have probably seen him preform several times already.
I don't have any money' don't got nowheres I need to be and no family or friends.... I'd probably sit there and listen to him play all day.
Understated and smooth as silk with a fantastic tone and touch. All you need in my book.

Sounds like he probably improvised it when he heard them chanting. Very nice and I love the way it suddenly switched to that lovely warm blues tone.

Yeah a blues shuffle utilizing 5ths…ya just gotta have a jazz musician’s mentality - let your playing go where it takes you… make use of relative minor modes - riff, tap, shred through 5 positions - flip flop back&forth ….that’s what a master of the instrument does
