When Apart ide was starting off in the 80's I remember my brother who at that time was just starting to college and he came home for break and he was describing this thing called apartide , he was so upset and angry of how anyone could think that that was right in any sense. Loved the video. What hotel did you stay in? I would like to visit Joburg and I very much liked the area. Did you rent/hire a car? I read of the different safety challenges if you venture into the wrong areas.
Thank you. I didn't stay at a hotel. I used Airbnb. Rosebank, Melrose, and Sandton are the nice areas to stay. No I didn't rent a car, I think you can easily get around with Uber as it's reasonable. I didn't venture into areas I didn't need to be in. When I was in Soweto, I saw European people (obvious tourists, either alone or as a couple walking around near the nelson Mandela house. It's a really nice place.
