If I don't stop watching these episodes I am going to have to find & buy a 1955 Oldsmobile like I had in high school in 1963-1965. Really liked that car. They have more Buicks in most of these stories, but I still get to see some Oldsmobiles that bring back memories.
The '56 was the only car whose model year was shown on the car - in the round emblem right in the middle of the grille. Three or four different Buicks in this episode. Seems like Buick Motor Division got some free advertising - and they probably supplied all the Buicks. But somebody slipped in an Oldsmobile near the end.
@@Chazd1949 The '57 Buicks also had medallions with the year on them, like the '56s. In later years I thought this was something all cars should have visible on the outside.
@@hebneh I was told that the '56 was unique to this distinction, and when I first learned of it I looked for the emblem the next time I saw a '56 at a car show. Sure enough, there it was. However, I never thought to look for it on any earlier or later model year. Now I know better. Thanks for the correction.

Two nice '56 Buick Roadmasters, one a convertible and another a two door hardtop. They had just about every option in the book except AC. They were over $4000 but still cost less than a Cadillac. One of a few episodes that Dan drove a '56 four door Buick Super hardtop.
Take a closer look. The rear door handle is visible. So is the break in the rear door to quarter panel molding. Because of poorer film quality, it's easy to overlook, at first
There a alot of well known actors in this series, when they were a lot younger, very enjoyable to see. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, so I recognize many of the filming locations, in and around Los Angeles, when it was really a nice place to live.
Hey guys! Did anyone notice when the lady returns shot as she was going into the house. No blood stains as she fell! Come on now! Joe Carleo, former TV producer.
That was one sad episode. He wasn't with them for very long. I really liked him. This was before he played on a soap opera, which I don't remember the name of.
.....love Highway Patrol.....in this episode, Sgt Corey must be wearing the worst hairpiece ever made or went to a drunk and blind barber who used pruning shears........
Genius script writing, so concise and well ordered.
Love these old Highway Patrol shows! So good!

What A Classic Series.I Was 7 Years Old When This Hit The Air Waves
You can't upload enough of these! A better time for sure.
Agree 100%!
Remember: the clowns at the circus are real funny but not on the highway. Ten Four.
Molly Weems sure knows her automobiles. A '56 Buick Roadmaster convertible. What a ride.

A 56 Buick road master ragtop is worth thousands today.

The common denominator for those early TV shows: QUALITY
The common denominator for today's modern TV shows: TRASH!

Great episode. Very good upload quality. Video and audio quality superb.
Great episode! This is one of my favorite shows!😀👍👍
Successfully succinct series. Always interesting. TV sure knew how to entertain (once upon a time).
"Who identified me?" "YOU DID!" Gotta love it!!!
12:23 "stay right here, I'll get an ambulance" - no, I think I'll go play three sets of tennis with a bullet in my stomach.
This was a good little 23 minute story that takes 23 minutes. Today they would stretch the same story out to an hour to add more commercials! Bo-Ring!
Corporate America.. Blame fox news and mostly Republicans. Just acknowledge the dominion settlement for 777,000,000!!!

Smart lady. Maybe that's why she was only in four shows then disappeared.
She probably married some producer and lived in a 6 bedroom house up in the hills with 4 kids and a swimming pool.
Yeah, and I was the guy taking care of the pools of some of these "Hollywood" people!
Well, she was shown STARTING to parallel park her immense Buick, but they cut before she actually completed it, I noticed.
Used to be you'd flunk your driver's exam if you couldn't parallel park.
I loved it when he said who identified me. " You just did" I actually laughed. Cop shows were really well written then.
I simply l-o-v-e the highway patrol series! Broderick Crawford made those shows rock!!!
This episode was heavily populated by Buicks.
There must have been a sale on buicks when this was made.

Free advertising for Buick, were good cars
Why would a reporter give out a potential witness name and address.
And why would a killer go into a house with a cop car sitting in front of it?
And why would anyone want to be a reporter? One very sorry career.
stupidity
@charlynegezze8536 i agree with you
Love the opening music. Nothing like it today.
Great series ! Thanks.
criminal: if she never seen me who turned me in?
Dan: you did !
Great line
Columbo line
Hilarious !! Such goofy scripts ! But, great laughs ! Love this series !!
The reporter is Bing Russell (Kurt's father).
Buick made a bundle on this episode.
Thanks for that interesting info. Gotta go back and look again.

The world was a wonderful, straightforward place when I was a kid.
I remember that also, around Los Angeles, too bad that "that world" has slipped away, isn't it?
Yes mate. It gets to suck being an old fart 😀

Bing Russell.
Her house address is 2707 Canyon Dr. Los Angeles , Bronson Canyon , A lot of Highway Patrol was filmed up there .

Haha! Got to love old Dan. He always got his man. With a 55 Buick, a 38 snubnose and true grit, he always got his man.

can't imagine climbing around in the woods in a suit and tie. ha
Take a look at the bread lines in the Great Depression.
Men tried to dress their best in spite of their new poverty.
Back then one was looked down on if one did not wear a suit ,tie and fedora.

A pretty glaring hole in the plot near the end. The reporter would surely be in a position to identify the killer...for real.
A poker game.
What happened to the safety tip at the end? BOO!
The reporter that gave out all the information on the witness, could have got her killed.I think he would go to jail to-day for doing that.
