I am finding that many things we grow as annuals, can be perennials. I have cabbage in it's third year now.

I stumbled across permaculture when it became illegal to burn garden "waste" (France 2019). Learning about chop and drop and composting has been THE solution and absolutely transformed my relationship with my garden! Now I know that what I prune, mow and rake is actually treasure not waste. I feed all of that back into my garden and it's made my life a whole lot easier and the soil a whole lot richer. Thanks for a great channel.

The forest garden we created ten years ago is definitely going in this direction as our interest in foraging has grown.

I am reading Anna's book at the moment and I like the motivating and doable concept very much. All the ideas structered in a way that is very beginner-convenient. So, I am working on turning my 'whateveritis' into a forager's place. Thank you very much.

People think I'm NUTS because I plant weeds in tubs, I pick everybody's nettles and plantago eg, before they they blitz them out of existence. I'm developing a permaculture, edible forest garden and it will have a deliberate ground level of weeds I can eat, or turn into salves and tinctures.

When I was a child, about 11 years old yrs or so (decades ago)
I thought that the foods that look like parts of our bodies, ie walnuts look like the brain, hemispheres and all, then that food must be good for that part of the body. But anyone I spoke to about thought I was silly.
Now to hear you speak of the doctrine of signatures has got me quite interested 😊

Your discussion sparked my interest, until 20:15 to 20:35 audio is lost, put subtitles on & then that went off.
