I just got one of these from a mystery buy. I have been rocking a houbei for 2 years and I think this takes everything I like about my houbei and gives me a better place to carry cash.
It’s only cus I read your outro that I had to come back in video to have a look! LOL. And yes you did indeed! 😉 Great video. Love Michael’s wallets a lot. I’m still using a shell cordovan topsider quick draw in my rotation. Thanks 👍🏻😃
Are you using more than one card in the quick draw slot? I've had this same wallet for over a year. Never once had any issues. This is the holy grail for me when it comes to functionality of using cards and cash.
just ordered this very wallet with the all blue and black stitching... I have a wallet problem and look forward to how it stacks up against my ashland leather wallets.
I just got this wallet in the mail today and its beautiful….holds all my cash and cards i need…. This is one of the best wallets ever!!!! I got in in all black with red stitching…..i love this wallet!!!! Ty for reviewing it..or i would of missed it…. My new favorite wallet of all time!!!!!
@@heathkinn it ages beautifully I've had mine for over a year. I only swap wallets on occasion because I have an addiction but this wallet checks off all of the boxes for me when it comes to a minimalist style wallet
This is an evolving design, to put it nicely. Presently it’s both a design (no longer a front pocket or minimalist wallet) & aesthetic failure (Partial Stitching on external flap. No symmetry).
The leather not lining up/being the same size cuts and the flap having a twist to it when it's tucked...not all that nice. He needs to do a side stitching like the lost dutchman does with his wallets or have a strap to tuck the flap into. For the price, it's an easy pass.
The outside leather piece looks to be slightly larger so when folded it can wrap around the top, and that also makes it easier to access the cash compartment when open
@@ChrispyThings I normally agree with you 100% of the time but it has been stated during the walletopia review that it is something he intends to fix. Like I said I love these wallets, but quality sort of looks rushed. At least he can say his is the first and when improvements to happen, im all for giving it a shot.
The flap will mold as the leather naturally stretches ur just knit picking Michaels wallets are each so special and made with care. Can't wait to get my topsider bifold in couple weeks
Not gonna lie. this is one of the most hideous wallets ive ever come across. Its like someone had alot of fun making origami while being an amateur in doing so and then decided to do a leather version.
Exactly this is unique and still very classy and for u to think this is hideous u clearly are living a very boring life when you think something different is just not "the way it should be"
outside [most used credit card] will surely get lost because of how loose the card is held [boo] gravity will cause credit card to fall. Not a good thing for a 'on-the-go' person - not worth it
Awesome review as always, Chris. Love this design. Super functional. Will have to check this one out! 👍

Nice color combo! I got mine last week. It’s my new favorite.

The cash compartment is nice, but not a fan of the way card kinda jutting out when using the quick draw pocket

And how does it …. ?
I dont think anything can stand up to a corovan leather wallet from ashland tbh.
@@ChazMcClure it's good at being compact compared to the Ashland wallets I have, I use for when I pack light .

Which one do you like more Houbei 2.0 or Topside bifold. I am torn. If Hubei has a bifold that will be more awesome
Love my blue green gray topsider bifold even more than my houbei I had before getting this one
I also love my houbei.. how much thicker is the bifold version all loaded up?
Depends on the way of the card storage and however much cash
I hit the like button because of the Killers t-shirt.
Great review I ordered the topsider quick draw
Got this exact color. Thanks!
Gorgeous wallet
I think it will be much thinner of the blue leather only fold the right and not both side
What color combo is that?

This will easily fit in my front pocket go somewhere else with your picky self ☺️
Will the quick slot become too lossy aftee brea in and used for long and the time where therrle's no cash bill in the bill slot?
That’s yet to be seen.
But I have many wallets with a similar slot for cards and aren’t loose.
Please review Crazy Horse Craft Wallet? 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks for the recommendation!
Do euro bank notes fit inside?
houbei or this one? can't decide
Houbei for me
@@ChrispyThings can you tell me the reason you prefer houbei? Thanks a lot
@@ralphlaurencastro really just depends on you. If you use a lot of cash then go with this one. If mostly cards then go with the Houbei
Do you prefer this or the Houbei?
The Houbei is my favorite wallet from Open Sea
Love the fat wrinkles on that chestnut buttero! Very nice wallet as are all of the wallets from OSL.
Looks kind of thick with that much cash in it. Front pocket carry could get pretty bulgy...
Anyone know of a 10 or even 20% promo code for Open Sea leathers ?

To each his own. I got this one and love it. I think it's one of my favorites from all his wallets.
