I like the look of dcc, but I worry it won't be as easy to socialize. Have you heard of people in DCC with that problem? And for the declining meal plan for pittman, do you buy your own groceries weekly? Is it annoying doing your dishes? lol. - also, is it hard to find quiet in pittman/ study if there are so many parties??

I think each residence building is really what u make of it when it comes to friends. It was a bit more difficult for us to socialize with people outside out building because we couldn’t have guests like the entire year 😢. But no I don’t think that you would have a problem making friends in DCC.
For the declining meal plan- yes I did buy groceries quite often. If you have the 5 day or 7 day you don’t need to but the declining meal plan actually runs out surprisingly fast. I relied on it for most of my meals first semester and I was out of money half way through. I would recommend getting it but just being aware of how much money you have left. It’s definitely a life saver on those days where u just don’t want to make yourself food .
Doing dishes sucked I’m not going to lie. I grew up in a household that had a dishwasher so over never really had to clean all my dishes by hand. My recommendation is just wash a dish as soon as you use it and don’t let it pile up.
When it comes to Pittman parties they are mainly kept to the weekends and there really aren’t thaaat many. They only really happen on floors with apartment style rooms such as my floor. Even on days that there were huge parties next to my room you couldn’t hear it from inside your room. Also you are free to go to the common rooms on any floor if you believe your floor is too noisy. I personally never found noise to be an issue.
