Thank you Garnt for recommending 13 Sentinels! Also Joey playing it and recommending it on Twitter after this was recorded. That game is like legitimately the best narrative in piece of media I've ever experienced, and the only reason the game didn't sell as well as it should have is because of poor advertising since you can't really advertise this game's strengths without spoiling things to a degree. I hope from this episode more people pick the game up and get to experience it!
The worst argument I heard from a twitch streamer justifying why they were watching anime on stream was to raise awareness, that twitch allows this type of content on their platform. It's like saying the police aren't arresting the robbers so I'll just start robberies to raise awareness, that the police are not doing their job.
I think it should work a lot like music, after some odd years, it's free use. Granted that use is like 20 years and I think that's too long, I say 5 years may work but 10 is possible. With that idea put to shows, you can watch older shows that aren't making money (at least not a lot) off of people legally streaming it. Something like Death Note is making bank through Figures and such, no one is getting Crunchyroll to just watch Death Note. This would help both sides since old anime get to be viewed by a new generation and hence more exposure while the streamer has an easy way to stream something different that requires less effort than most things.
@@upg5147 hey we might even call this version of fair use "public domain" because it is available to be used by the public lacking any restrictions. too bad Disney clipped that timeline away years ago when they declared author's lifetime + 70 years (i think) for copyright so they could keep using that mouse. may even extend it to the heat death of the universe at this point. I've been following Atlus and Shin Megami Tensei for a long time. Not just persona, but devil Summoner, Digital Devil, and my all time Favorite: Nocturne. And I can get why Garnt can feel for anime representations of story-telling and tropes: Anime is one of the last bastions of Tragedy. We need more dramatic tragedy in the west again. I love Monogatari because every season and movie leaves you feeling like... There's more to the story that YOU need to make happen. The main character didn't take every avenue, now YOU need to live out his mistakes and learn from them. Really make your own path, even through the pain and desolation of real life.
These guys rly help with depression. Im glad you guys have your podcast, keep up the good work brothers! I pray you all have happy fullfilled lives! Love!
really? I found diamond/pearl/platinum were easy as games. They just had longevity as it was the first pokemon game to have internet trading etc which made it so much better as you could get hacked pokemon easily even if you didnt have an AR and had a real international battle scene. It also allowed you to unlock pokemon which required you to attend in person to things which were outside your country legit, so you could unlock all the secret pokemon without having to be there in person.
Yes, but they made these new games way too easy, everyone in the party gets every exp and you can’t turn it off. Misplay on Pokémon’s part in my opinion
Garnt : "...we're gonna do more special this year, we're going to stream every week, you heard it first..." Corona : "I'm about to end this man's career"
Regarding making Pokémon challenging, the majority of regular players who play it competitively don't necessarily play it as Nuzlockes or however else. In general, we wanna just blaze through the story and get to the point where we can build good, competitive teams and have access to all facilities, move tutors, items, etc. to build competitive Pokémon by changing stats, teaching unique moves, breeding them to make better offspring and get unique move sets, changing abilities, etc. They did *try* to make things more difficult in Black2/White2 where there was a setting that made Trainers you battled a little harder, but it wasn't much better. You could still plow through the story NPC Trainers if you brute force it by simply overleveling. If you want actually difficult battles, play the Battle Towers. That's where the "smart" NPC Trainers are and they play like competitive players. It teaches you how to battle better and smarter. Otherwise, we're just going to have to wait for a Pokémon game where they make the story NPC Trainers you battle more difficult based on your Pokémon team at whatever point in the story you're at.
I remember as kid crying attempting to beat Cynthia in platinum or Red in heartgold. When I played x for the first time I beat the game in like 5-6 hours. The newer games are honestly really sad to me

The boys talked about Mushoko tensei the most on this episode (You can see the bars of each topics).
MyTake: "What we've learned is that it's a bad thing to do unless your favorite content creator is doin it". I know this is "trash" taste but their insigts and comments HAVE A PUCKING POINT. also glad joey made a content out of the skying trip, atleast we don't need to use to much imagination on what they have done there.
37:52 In absolute shock with this crossover man, didn't see it coming. Ohara is a LEGEND, my fav One Piece yotuber
he showed up in during the photoshoot episode
Connor: I’m feeling a bit sick
Joey: He doesn’t have COVID
Me: Well… this aged poorly. Hope Grant and Sydney are feeling better.
Wait wtf?
@@robertotorres661 Yeah, Garnt said on Twitter a few days ago that he got the -rona. He's feeling better now
You are late, 6 hours before this video was released, Garnt already said that they were both fine.
@@jack90054 yeah
Yeah, personally I might clown on Garnt in the comments for his takes on mecha, but good to know that he and Sydsnap is feeling a lot better. Oddly enough Hime Hajime also tested positive, was she staying with her grandparents?
I just want to say that I'm so happy that more people are playing 13 Sentinels. It's probably my favorite game of all time, but it's so, so underrated for how amazing it truly is.
If the concept seemed interesting to you, please play it. It's such an incredible game.
I saw Cohhcarnage get into it. Looks great.
Really? I've only ever heard people describe it as a 10/10 or the best game they've ever played. It isn't underrated by any means at all.
Yea like another person said, its not underrated its just that many ppl in the west prefer games like God of War, Horizon, TLOU and stuff like that compared to japanese games i guess
@@user-qn4ym5ht8b No, majority of the biggest games were japaneses lol, its because sentinels is a VN

Great episode, glad to hear you guys enjoyed snowboarding, and wishing Garnt, Sydney, and potentially everyone else well.
The bucket list is an amazing movie. Joey and garnt get on it!!
I love hearing the boys talk about anime, it’s a rarity and a nice one at that.
Excited to see Connor's eyes growing darker in the upcomming episodes as Jump King starts kicking in
Thank you Garnt for recommending 13 Sentinels!
I'm seeing a lot of praise just here in the comments. It may not be my kind of game but that doesn't mean I won't enjoy it
The boys talking about Mushoku Tensei making me want the whole thing animated already. Good LORD I just want to gush over the anime.
Are they following the LN or the manga? If it's the latter I doubt we'll ever see the anime finish
@@xiuxiu1108 In MAL you can see that source is from the LN but I agree that we will wait a long time to watch next season because of licensing.
This podcast puts me so much at peace thank you guys I can't stop watching it
Hey Garnt I hope you and Sydney get better soon. And I think the dent is maybe from that time you showed off the airsoft gun.
@@upg5147 I don't know what Utopic world you live in where copyright is only 20 years, but I want to live in it
@@upg5147 hey we might even call this version of fair use "public domain" because it is available to be used by the public lacking any restrictions. too bad Disney clipped that timeline away years ago when they declared author's lifetime + 70 years (i think) for copyright so they could keep using that mouse. may even extend it to the heat death of the universe at this point.
I mean, at least they haven't declared sovereignty as an independent nation because the only other way to preserve that character as identity would be through foreign diplomacy.

Loved hearing you guys talk about Aggretsuko. I now feel vindicated in my enjoyment of the series.
these boys are genuinely so lovable
I'm surprised Connor brought up Rudeus staring at his Isekai's mother's chest rather than the more uncomfortable scenes there are
Hopefully when the weather is nice. The boys can have a scavenger hunt special.
The Midwest in the United States just got slammed with snow, so I just spent 4 hours sledding in a field. Time to chill with some TT and hot cocoa. 😁

"Manuka is made from honey from a specific plant I don't know the specifics".... Its the Manuka plant Joey...
And Australia also produces Manuka honey
As a Chinese audience, mushoku tensei was removed on bilibili because Tons of Audience(mainly female) are saying it is against moral(Cheating and Pedophilia) and want to cancel it, and the fans fighting back heated a internet war base on 'should fictional character follow real life moral?', bilibili want to avoid that and the show is gone... it is stupid, a lot of show are killing people left and right and Aot even doing a genocide, but these people get more angry for rudys dad being a playboy as he has always been, and in this circumstance not even illegal.
Rudy lived a shameful life before, and the core of the show is 2nd chances, to encourage ppl in similar situation to act and to change, guess in their pov disgusting people are just born disgusting and doesn't deserve a 2nd chance at all...

I'm so glad Connor really liked Mushoku Tensei. Felt like a proud father like Garnt. shits so absolutely amazing it made me read a light novel for the first time
hearing about CmomVA is so wholesome, taking care of the homies
i was waiting for this mushoku tensei talk for weeks! good job boys!
I'm happy that they still keep bringing up Arcane for Joey
Still waiting for another epic special 🔥🔥🔥
👾
They said that this is not a special....right? And Joey on his second channel released a vid
Your cosplay rocks.
didn't expect to see Punipun in here~🤯
Hope you can be the next Trash Tastes guest
Love!
The bartender was 100% Dutch/ German (and from a village) everything under 2h is walkable
1:12:31 OG Diamond and Pearl had a difficulty spike like a mofo, there's a reason Cynthia gave a whole generation of kids anxiety.
Idk, I didn’t have much difficulty at all as a kid. Maybe with where to go yeah.
Yes, but they made these new games way too easy, everyone in the party gets every exp and you can’t turn it off. Misplay on Pokémon’s part in my opinion
Garnt : "...we're gonna do more special this year, we're going to stream every week, you heard it first..."
Corona : "I'm about to end this man's career"
As someone who grow up in Russia Siberia it’s always so funny and cute to listen to their winter stories. -15c is cold 😂 rookie numbers
Eris fans screaming rn because Connor opened their eyes by saying Tsundere girls are just Domestic Abuse: the Anime
I remember as kid crying attempting to beat Cynthia in platinum or Red in heartgold. When I played x for the first time I beat the game in like 5-6 hours. The newer games are honestly really sad to me
Well if we’re being fair you were a kid back then. But yeah the games are easier now as well.
I love how this episode came out like 3 days before my bf's dad takes me out snowboarding for the first time. wish me luck fellow trash
Gud luck. Avoid getting "trash"ed in bar and "trash"ed by the snow.
I finally finishing the podcast. Also it hits different when they are talking about the twitch thing after what happen with Suede and Shopro. Also Joey video about the topic.
1:15:00 Leave it to Connor to bring back a memory from my childhood of the most difficult/hilarious/weird game I had. I miss that old play thing but I still remember playing the heck out of this Shrek game and then using the CD of the movie to play the songs on the PlayStation music player. Good times
Garnt is a chad for talking about 13 Sentinels. This man really has my respect.

"TV meta" was insulting especially after the TotalyNotMark debacle. Guy lost 150 videos, his livelihood was placed in jeopardy while he wasn't abusing the system, while some other people wanted to get banned for the Lulz so they taunt those companies.
Garnt: I had to survive in -10’C
Me: *laughs in Canadian*
So true, I lived in Ottawa and remember it being -15 on average during the winter. I only had class cancelled on one ocasión when it was -27c.
It's been -34 the past couple mornings in Northern Ontario so -10 would be super warm to me. It gets a lot easier since I'm so acclimatized to the cold compared to someone whose never felt it before, like Garnt.
I do know removal in negative 30 so negative 10 Is bitch mode to me. Canadian struggls.
Thank you for talking about 13 Sentinels! It's such an underrated game and I hope more people give it a shot since the Switch port is coming out soon!
The DMCA discussion at the end was awesome. Thank you for speaking on it boys.
