    Resumo direto do meu bloco de notas:
    Leil Lownedes
    how to look like somebody
    1-slow smile
    2-fixed gaze
    3-posture
    greet new people like you are old friends, with enthusiasm
    visualize stuff before they happen
    pay attention in people’s responses
    don’t scratch your face or body, appears to be lying
    start conversation
    1-ask introduction to someone else
    2-“i just overheard about…”
    3-whats special item?
    4-don’t give naked answers/questions… more context = more options
    5-match people’s energy, like a song
    -read the news to have something to talk
    -the parrot method: repeat what the people said so the conversation doesn’t die
    -Put the spotlight on the other person
    -say “you” in the beginning of a sentence
    -let a person talk about something they have in common with you for a while before revealing the commonality
    -Never ask someone what they do instead ask how they spend their time
    -when answering what do you do? Reply in terms of how you benefit someone. (ex I teach people how to work in the financial market)
    -Focus on the positive when just meeting someone
    -How to make a group talk: “ tell them the time that…”
    -how to deliver bad news: in a tone that the receiver would probably be feeling
    -never use naked thank you
    -make you seem like family: use the same words as the counterpart uses (echoing)
    -use images related to the counterpart interests (ex marcar um gol para um jogador)
    -use empathizer instead of uhum when listening
    -a person can be: visual, auditory, kinesthesic, eat or smell (last two rare)
    use empathizer according to how they express themselves
    levels of intimacy
    1-cliche (hows the weather?)
    2-facts (it rained twice this week)
    3-emotions (do you like the rain?)
    4-we statements (this weather is great for us)
    jump right into level 3 and 4
    tomb game: ask how they want to be remembered
    than compliment about that
    when someone compliment you: thats very kind
    give a compliment by giving a reputation
    verbal gesture over the phone (ex “i hear you”)
    say name more often over the phone
    “hey its you/about that” over the phone: smile after you know what it is
    make friends with secretary/spouse over phone so they talk good about you
    what color is your time before sales pitch over phone
    use cliff hangers over phone: i have the answer about x
    first drain their ideas before pour your own
    when something bad goes down with a costumer
    1. echo emotion
    2. my goof, your gain = extra benefit
