Not entirely true... Listen to this in Mono, the main (mono) vocal still stands out clearly as it should. When you have stereo information of any kind there will ALWAYS be some sort of phase problems/phase cancellation, but as long as things still sound good in mono and still sound good overall, Its alright.
@@EDMTipsyou’re an absolute legend. Your channel has helped my productions immensely and I am super grateful. My fav channel on RUclips hands down. Cheer!s!
Can you please make a tutorial on the harmony? What if the vocal has many runs and riffs? Would it still be possible? I can't afford the harmony engine, i just started self-studying music production and Grailon and pitcproof won't work in Ableton. Please help. Thanks
Nice tricks. Would be very careful with the imager since, in a mix, it is best to work with panned copies. Ableton is great for editing on the spot - although (and it’s a paid preference, I know) Melodyne is a great tool to edit vocal chops on the go. All in all, great effin trick. Just don’t over do the imaging and you’ve got a mandatory EDM trick!
When you see the vectorscope hit in the red zone, does this mean the stereo image is TOO wide for the mix? I've been dying to find out if it is too much for every mix, including the final mix. So, is it okay if the final mix for example goes into red?
These are cool tricks and fx to put on a vocal but without proper eq and compression then it would just be a muddy mess... Not to mention potential phase issues by having all these duplicates slightly off the grid and pitched/ their stereo images messed with all on top of each other. It would be safer to do those effects with separate takes rather than duplicating the same take
Would be interested to know how to replicate these features within Logic. I know it's possible, but it definitely isn't as fast. Ableton has some really cool features. I also had to figure out how to replicate the freeze reverb manually. Maybe I'm just inexperienced though 🤷
I havent tested this but i think that it being phasey is the whole point at least if you look at the first step otherwise you wont get that sound. If the sounds are layered on top of each other with regards to panning and dont cancel out in a bad way and if it sounds good then it is good as always. Of course always check your mixes and perhaps this kind of track separately for mono compatibility by hitting that mono button in the DAW.
I feel like the little alter boy pitch shift your vocals down an octave to sound like a monster thing is super outdated. I hear everyone using this “trick”
Dude, your channel helped me reached a new level in my music production skills. Thank you so much
Same
this is so awesome if you love having phasing problems

Didn't see that coming. Very good.

What a lovely acapella. Where is it from?
Nice!
Thanks, Duncan, glad you liked it! 🙂🙌🏻
What headphones? I can't recognize
why do you split the last clip? Diffrent pich changes on every clip?
Is the groove template a default template in Ableton? How can I access it?
What is complex pro and what does warping do?
Thank you so much 😊
Amazing tip as always!

track is Love on Fire by D-block & S-te-fan if you want to hear the whole song.
Nope, they just used the same royalty free vocals
@@EDMTipsbut the processing is similar to their track

How do we make that delay
There is zero musical note (snort) in my body. But I subbed to your channel.
How do you do this in logic?
Sounded better straight and without all those effects.
Thanks for the feedback!
can you do it with logic pro??
So bro, you don’t provide track link ! We need it!
“This is what we start off with…”
😮
😁
Shiii! I might buy ableton just cause of him
Ableton been great
Sounds better natural.
wouldnt it be better to record to separate tracks? couldn't this trick your showing have issues with phasing ?
❤
Cheers!

I'd buy a book, or software from you, that would show me how to do this.
Why a template to offset? :D Anywho, great tips!
He said use the groove pool template! Pay attention
@@bboymac84 still a template...
Play it with the rest of the track , lets hear that
Dammmnnn 😳😮💨🤘
duplicate duplicate and guess what duplicate but this sounds amazing
Thank you so much, I am really glad you liked it! 🙏🏻
epicc

@@EDMTips All of it...
How many duplicates have you made?😅
why tf did I buy Alterboy
F@ck, this world never ends… 😢
Eh?
@@EDMTips i meant that music world and ableton is infinity 🤭
Ah, I see 😁 Indeed it is!
Bad phase
this is weird. i just used this vocal in a song that I'm releasing
Great choice 😎
This is a bit too much, the ozone imager 2 on the double and that’s it!
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!
this creates phase problem to your master sample do not do it
Dang... it sounds distorted af, sounds like crap.
'Really unique' 🤦🏻
These techniques are ruining music making it unreal.
Thanks for the feedback!
@@EDMTips I know people do like it so obviously it was just a personal opinion.
Didn't like that. You just ruined girls clear voice. Double was enough
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!
