Doesn't make me tear up but I every time I listen to this song I break out in full body goosebumps....her voice is so pure and piercing. She's a truly gifted singer.
This song was a masterpiece, fun fact amys feet never touch the ground in this video because shes supposed to be a ghost, her power and falsetto, her ability to project emotion into her songs and her videos is unparalleled, shes one of a kind I don't know if we'll ever see another amy lee in our lifetime
"These wounds won't seem to heal..the pain is just too real.." This song always brings tears to my eyes...it reminds me of the love of my life I lost in 2013 to cancer...
My wife died two years ago she got sick in 2007 a rare brain disease i it was an auto immune disease and attacked her brain she went blind the doctors thought it was cancer so they had to do a brain biopsy and when I did that they gave her a massive brain bleed well when that happened she went into a coma for three months because they felt like a treat with steroids but it was cancer or killer she died in 2016 she suffered that long I lost her in 2007 the lesions on her brain destroyed her but I never left her side I heard this song while she was sick understand too much about this for years she couldn’t remember anything that we talked about five minutes before always remember me this song is very personal to me i’m not very good at expressing my feelings, but this song Sums it all up.
I loved the genuine reaction, saw you fighting off those tears! Listen to it on the wrong, or right day, however you look at it and you won't have the power to hold them back. You're a beautiful person, stay blessed.
Talented and beautiful, Amy Lee can break your heart with her haunting voice. Plus, she is a classically trained pianist (that's her playing) and I believe can play the guitar as well. Watch her LIVE performances with her on the piano and you will see the definition of talent. Oh and yes, THOSE EYES. Sheesh.
So amazing: her voice, her songwriting, her piano playing on the tracks where she plays, she even designs and sews her own costumes for videos and concerts. So much talent in one person, it's crazy but so awesome.
Best concert I've been to in 20-25 years. Nearly vibrated through my seat when Amy came out to cover "Shatter Me", which I was not expecting since I'd been to a Stirling show and she didn't do any of the studio collab stuff
I found your reaction very real and touching. You felt teary and the rock crescendo hit you like it was meant to. Amy Lee is a rarely amazing talent on vocals singing about her departed lover and her inability to forget.
Also, she just collaborated with tons of artists during quarantine, but the duet that stood out the most is the song “one day the only butterflies left will be in your chest as you march towards your death”. Yes, that’s the title of the song, haha. It’s featured on Bring Me The Horizon latest EP. When you listen to it, you ll thank me, what a song!
yes...she has an absolutely beautiful voice..but she is also an INCREDIBLY talented vocalist...one of the best out there. Listen to more of their music and you will really come to appreciate her talent!
Sometimes thing's out of social media are more important. It's definitely nice to see you and that you reacted to that beautiful song. The piano play is so lovely.
This song is almost 20 years old now and came out when I was in my early 20's. It's a song that defiantly hits harder today. Back then, to me it was just a great song by an awesome singer, now it's a very powerful emotional song. I can now relate to the lyrics, but not just towards a specific loss or relationship with someone, but towards my memories, my moments, and my mind. The older we get, the more the memories hurt, not just the sad and/or bad ones, like losing a loved ones, as I have lost both my parents over the last twelve years, but the good ones as well, like having a wonderful childhood, first getting marriage, your children's births and them being young, these memories of life, moments of time, will never be as great as it once was, as certain moments that will never be experienced again like they were when we lived them. My memories, both happy and sad, are slowly killing me as I can't let go and depend on them so much.
Great Reaction!!.I know everyone is going to tell you to do more Evanescence so heres my two cents on some fantastic tracks..Lithium, Sweet Sacrifice, The Change, The End of a Dream, My Heart is Broken, Never Go Back..So many that dont have music videos also but they're great songs..Hope you do more, you'll love it..
Shiloh, it was easy to see that this song, and Amy's spectacular vocals, hit you right in the emotions. I've listened to this song about 500 times, and it's done the exact same thing to me every time. I have three other Evanescence/Amy Lee recommendations for you: "Bring Me to Life," "Hello," and "Speak to Me." Those last two are both even more powerful and emotional than "My Immortal." "Hello" is about Amy's sister who died when she was three, and Amy was six, I believe. There isn't an official video for it, but there are a few that just have the lyrics, and one that someone put together with clips of other Evanescence videos. "Speak to Me" is from the movie "Voice From the Stone" which is the story of a nurse trying to help a mute young boy who has recently lost his mother speak again. Welcome to the world of this absolutely amazing woman.
Hey,Shiloh...you should check out "Lithium", "Broken" with Seether "When your sober" (I 🤔 it's about Shaun from Seether, her EX. Good to see you, keep it up k'
Nice to have ya back. RUclips isn't the same in your absence. What a way to come back to. Phenomenal song, vocals, and lyrics! I've always loved this song. It reminds me of my fiancé who sadly passed away. 😥💔
Glad you're back. I checked the channel a few times to make sure I didn't miss anything. I'm glad you were off because of moving and not some other reason like illness or injury. You have some of the best most genuine reactions so I look forward to new reaction videos. I have been a fan of Amy Lee for years. She does a great job in her colabo with Johnathan Davis (Korn) in their version of Korn's Freak on a Leash.
There are a few different versions of this all with their own magic. This is "the band's version"; the one on the album is "Amy's version" and replaces the percussion drop and the band coming in with just her continuing the ballad and a stronger piano run. Worth listening to on your own time. Highly recommend "Going Under" from this band, same album, my personal favorite.
Love love love Amy Lee and Evanescence, have done since they came out - so glad to see you react to them. If / when you react to them again,.pleeeease make it My Heart Is Broken..bc it's my favourite and I'm very selfish and that song makes me feel some kind of way. Welcome back and hope the move wasn't too crazy, love from the UK.
Amy Lee could sing the dictionary and make you weep. She's the only live performer that I've ever seen where I was rocking out and jumping up and down during a song and in the next song I was openly weeping. just a stunning vocalist
it's just one of these songs that ... get's under your skin.... heard it a 1000 times and still, everytime it eats my heart out ....a song about loss, no more, no less but frightfull empathic...
I've been listening to this song for months as I am grieving for the loss of my girlfriend this past July. She was only 49 years old and I'm devastated still.
Great reaction! So awesome that you said "I wonder if they can see her". You were so spot on. They can't because she is a spirit. If you notice, her feet never touch the ground. She is always on something, above the ground. She's singing the guys reaction to losing her.
The most beautiful song ever written.
Understatement of all time!
Gucci gang and lil pump would like to disagree !!!
@@spudfairbanks2172 hahahaha
Listen to unchained melody by Bobby Hatfield. Live version. That tops the list as well for amazing beautiful songs.
Well there is I Cum Blood by Cannibal Corpse, but I'm kidding, you're right
She's an angel.
I'm a grown ass man, and she makes me well up with tears every time
Same
I think we all do
Doesn't make me tear up but I every time I listen to this song I break out in full body goosebumps....her voice is so pure and piercing. She's a truly gifted singer.
Not the only one. This pain is just too real on this one...
Same!!
Amy is a Spirit. She never touches the ground in this video.
Simply a true talent
i cannot get enough of her voice or looking into her sad but beautiful eyes
This song was a masterpiece, fun fact amys feet never touch the ground in this video because shes supposed to be a ghost, her power and falsetto, her ability to project emotion into her songs and her videos is unparalleled, shes one of a kind I don't know if we'll ever see another amy lee in our lifetime
Holy shit Rick. I know that song since release and I never noticed it 😳😳
No. She's an angel.
she’s an Angel, not a ghost 🤦♀️
She's an angel speaking from the guy's perspective.
Her eyes are just so beautiful along with her amazing vocals
One of the best singers in rock in my opinion.
"My Heart Is Broken" when she sings it....you believe it!!
Magic happen sometimes when a beautiful voice and special song come together. This is one of them.
"Her eyes" says the girl with eyes that make me say "HER EYES!!"..lol
I thought it, you said it buddy. lol
For real right her eyes & killer smile
you said it, I was thinking it! ...bill burr voice
She is what we call “fit”
Simp.
That band kicks in just at the right moment...... it's an emotional song and tears are about to start flowing when those drums kick in
"These wounds won't seem to heal..the pain is just too real.." This song always brings tears to my eyes...it reminds me of the love of my life I lost in 2013 to cancer...
I ache for your loss. Losing people is the only reason never to love.
💔
Feel that, lost her to cancer 2019 after 46 years together.

I've seen this video like 42 bajillion times and it still makes me tear up sometimes, cuz I just can't even handle how beautiful her voice is
I hear you brother
The voice of an Angel. Very well done video. Her natural beauty is amazing.
Always stunning....her voice is unbelievable! I always always get emotional at this song!
I loved the genuine reaction, saw you fighting off those tears! Listen to it on the wrong, or right day, however you look at it and you won't have the power to hold them back. You're a beautiful person, stay blessed.

Always find it funny how you young folk hear something i grew up with and end up loving it...thats REAL music
I love this song. Saw Amy Lee do this live with Lindsay Stirling the violinist. Amazing. Love the reactions
*Lindsey Stirling, not going grammar on you.. just for others' searching purposes because she is actually amazing to discover and enjoy. 🦄
@@MrPostman900 yes thank you lol I think I got auto corrected.

AMy is such a fantastic singer, she does the one thing I look for in vocalists ...makes me feel, the true power of music...Loved this.
THIS SONG HAS ALWAYS BEEN EMOTIONALLY DRAINING!
I'd check out "Call Me When You're Sober" from Evanescence, as well.
Sweet Sacrifice, Lacrymosa, Going Under.... The possibilities are endless!
Pure Talent, love this Band and Amy voice is just so versatile, true rock chick. Love Love Love.
Symphonic Rock is magic.
That strong, vulnerable, angelic voice of Amy's gets me each time I hear it.
Amy has a really haunting voice.
