Was shrink calculated using 1.2% per point and only using math? I’d like to see the dried bushels of each step hauled back out separately and weighed. Or can does phantom yield loss occur in the bin too?

First off actual shrink is 1.06%

      @@ryanpickard3529 I thought it was 1.18%?

Our coop takes 1.4% or 1.6% shrink depending on moisture, so can be a huge factor in revenue per acre. Definitely need to see more numbers on the yields at different moistures to run our own cost analysis.

I’d love to see more details on how this trial was carried out.

Harvesting 12% corn with 58+ TW in MN, not by choice. Don't even want to think about phantom yield loss.

Quit planting 94 day corn then

Great study. Looking forward to the other 2 years but I bet results don’t change much.

@@Yuhmuthasaho This may come as a surprise to you but it's not a good idea to plant 120 day corn north of 45 degrees latitude with a typical growing season from first to last frost of five months and average of 2,300 GDUs per year. Appreciate your continued expertise, it's really coming through.
