I'm a classically trained (Sydney, Australia, Conservatorium) guitarist/teacher who took up the violin about 35 years ago, then about a decade ago took up the viola and I must say (I may have said it before) you are the best teacher I've found on the internet - RUclips. The hardest thing for me has been playing 4/4 where all 4 pulses were correctly played with the bow. Hitting with the bow does not always mean that you get a hit sound as sound and when you cannot get it as sound, the tone changes become unrhythmic and unclean. The change of the bow is also important I think.

Do you recommend practicing Sevcik with or without vibrato?
