The center of Porto Cervo is represented by the charming little Chiacchiere square (where our walking tour ends) built by architect Luigi Vietti and full of bars and restaurants with breathtaking views of the marina of the town which is home to splendid and luxurious yachts.
Numerous narrow streets start from the square, populated by luxury boutiques (such as Valentino, Dolce&Gabbana, Hermes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton) and the latest fashion shops, perfect for those who want to indulge in a shopping stroll.

Also from the square, you can reach the Marina of Porto Cervo which runs alongside the tourist port of Porto Cervo. The Marina then continues towards the old port area, a docking place for large cruise ships and ferries that bring tourists to this area of Sardinia.

Only for the rich here. Exclusive to money. There is nothing traditional about this town. I would rather stay in Santa Teresa Gallura or Alghero. Thanks for the video though

So true mate. I did a bike trip around the north of the isle and Porto Cervo was the least interesting place. Tacky, pretentious and boring.

@@mariapi7667 Se un posto non sa ne di carne ne di pesce ma solo di plastica non bisogna essere necessariamente invidiosi dei ricchi, io disto mezz'ora da Porto Cervo ci sono stato un paio di volte e non c'ho trovato nulla di interessante, fossi in un turista non perderei una giornata per visitarlo a meno che non voglio vedere Yatch, Lamborghini, negozi Gucci, Versace ecc ma se si vuole parlare di Sardegna le cose belle da visitare sono altre che ne so le grotte di Nettuno, la Roccia dell'Orso, le tombe dei Giganti, i Nuraghi, l'arcipelago, agriturismi e così via dicendo

Esattamente come un villaggio turistico chiuso all'esterno in qualche località africana è in Africa ma non è Africa (se non forse per qualche dipendente). Non diciamo fesserie sulla invidia verso i ricchi... Invidio certo il loro patrimonio, ma perchè non usarlo per visitare davvero posti autentici? Porto Cervo ancora in maggio è un cantiere e mezzo morto. Da ottobre ad Aprile è un villaggio fantasma. Poi cosa ha di bello? Di autentico? Di intellettualmente stimolante?

I remember the late 70's and early 80's when my parents always took me to the Costa Smeralda. Porto Cervo was of course already posh but there were still some normal shops. Like one where you could buy comics, harpoons, fishing nets and some toy soldiers. Today it looks like Disney Land for Arabs and Russians with only luxury brand shops...

Yes I’m italian, there are residential villas/houses near the place, my family has one so we go there every August to spend our holidays
Honestly the best houses are outside the port rather than in the small town port area itself because there is more calm and not many noises from cars or boats or people shouting in general

Hello. How is the public transportation in Sardinia? I don't like to rent cars when traveling. I was recently in Sicily and public transportation was phenomenal. Thanks in advance for any reply
Yea you are most likely obligated by renting a car to feel free traveling in sardinia, there aren’t any other big public transports
Transportation is better than in Sicily (among the worst in Italy), but you'd still need a car. The island is lowly inhabited, don't expect big cities with train stations everywhere.
