Genuinely the most beautiful song ever
I got to see them live at a local venue in Memphis last year. I got there early so I could get as close as I could to the stage. I managed to get front and center! She smiled at me a few times so I can die fulfilled now. Plus I got a dope shirt to remember it.

I missed Metrics gig in Mexico city, but from the live vids I've seen, and I like their albums better, The Joy Formidable strikes me as superior (live).

Ugh. I know! I was excited to find out they're coming to my town. When I went to go see who was opening for them, to my horror, they were actually opening for the band KONGOS. Are you kidding??? If you're trying to search your mind as to who the eff KONGOS is, they're the one-hit-wonders who did the terrible song "Come With Me Now". Yes, we get it, you have an accordion in your band. Next.

you can't see the wood for the trees. TJF are making huge sounding symphonic music as a three piece. Their stuff sounds grander, more original,passionate, better thought out, than most other three pieces, and they don't sound much like anyone else. If they're doing that with a minimum of instrumental 'skill' (read fretwank), then it's actually more impressive that they've put so much work into getting the overall effect they get. In fact they are very good performers who've 'paid their dues'.
In fact I challenge anyone to play along to this band on any instrument and make it sound good. It's not easy to blend in with their sound. There is a lot to appreciate in their music. Go and complain on some sex pistols videos instead, or go listen to dream theatre

Does anyone know how they're getting the three note synth sounding melody? It's at the beginning and the end, and I thought it might be a guitar loop? Or could be playback, but it doesn't look like the drummer has in ear monitors? I was just curious about this, let me know if anyone has any ideas or explanations.
From what I can tell, Ritzy plays/records it into a Line 6 Echo Park set to the looper function, then allows it to loop while she then switches to playing the shoegazey riff over top of it. She can then just smash a button to start or stop the loop at will.
You can see at 0:28 that Matt has in-ears in! The synth is on a backing track, with a click running at 135 bpm or thereabouts. At 26 seconds in on ruclips.net/video/Qw7LPxBdB6Y/видео.html, you can see Ritzy tap a pedal to kick off the track.
The drummers looks like a slightly younger version of my Video Production teacher, and he also has hair unlike my teacher haha. It's hard for me not to laugh when I see the drummer.

It wasn't the editing. It was the constant punching in/out with the zoom and rack focus for no reason.
