It’s only getting a sequel because of the performance of Romulus at the box office and the cult following the game has garnered. Unfortunately its sales were impacted pretty badly by a low-effort review from a major game review site. Hence the decade plus long wait.

Nah, dude. The game is perfect from start to finish. On a 1st playthrough. Then, it would need an option to skip chapter 9 because it's just a long ass cutscene where you have control.

ALIEN ROMULUS was the BEST thing to ever happen to this franchise. I say that because it was such a success in bringing back the magic and horror to the Alien franchise that had been missing for decades. As a result of the film’s success, Alien Isolation started trending again and deservedly so. 10 years after it’s underwhelming release, the greatest first person survival horror game ever made finally received the love it has always deserved. And now, the loyal and true fans who have adored this game since day one got what they’ve waited 10 years for❤❤❤

Imagine if they make it a 9 hour game! That would literally prove Ryan McCaffrey right about the original being too long and piss off all the people who defended the developer. Hopefully, if the dev knows what's good for them, it's going to be even longer than the first game.
Out of all the games that have come out since this better give us the option to play as the alien again it's one thing to love the horror it's another thing to play as the Predator but to play as the actual Xenomorph like in that one game where you could pick out all three if they could give us a multiplayer version or even just AI Bots running around you have to hunt and Chase down again would be decent we need some kind of xenomorph playable content all customizability
A Homage to Alien: Isolation: The Perfect Organism of Survival Horror (With a Wink to IGN) To the engineers of tension, architects of dread, and keepers of silence-Alien: Isolation, you are more than a game. You are a whispered legacy of what survival horror was meant to be. In the dim corridors of Sevastopol Station, where the faint hum of technology and the echo of footsteps are all that separate life from death, you gave us fear unlike any other. You reminded us that true horror isn't the relentless onslaught of monsters but the cold, calculated terror of a single, perfect organism lurking in the dark-waiting. Your world was claustrophobic, yet vast in its possibilities. The hiss of a vent, the flicker of a light, and the pulse of a motion tracker became the heartbeat of survival. No weapon felt safe, no corner truly hidden. With every breath, we were prey-helpless yet determined. You taught us patience. You taught us the value of stillness. We learned to hide, not just to avoid danger but to listen-to the soft clinks of the alien's claws, the distant chatter of the station’s failing systems, and our own panicked breathing. It was a dance of predator and prey, where the only misstep could end with a silent, swift death. But more than fear, you gave us beauty. The retro-futuristic aesthetic, lovingly crafted from the original Alien film’s DNA, was a marvel. Sevastopol Station was alive, filled with history and mystery, a place both familiar and alien. Every flickering CRT monitor and every low-fi whirr of a machine was a love letter to the past, yet your terrors were timeless. Yet, amid this symphony of terror and wonder, there were those who didn't hear the same melody. IGN-bless their hearts-gave you a 5.9, like they had been caught in the alien's death grip one too many times and decided to take it out on you. Maybe they didn’t appreciate the art of waiting, the poetry of dread, the beauty of pure, unfiltered survival. Or perhaps they just had one too many heart attacks in the vents. But those of us who knew-who really knew-embraced the rhythm you set. While they may have seen frustration, we saw a masterpiece. For every criticized moment of tension, there was an equal, and opposite, moment of triumph-where we emerged from the shadows, having outwitted the perfect predator with nothing but a flare and a prayer. So, dear Alien: Isolation, you may not have won over everyone at first glance, but you won our hearts. We saw what you were, beyond the numbers, beyond the critics. You demanded more from us, and in return, you gave us an experience so unique, so visceral, that it became unforgettable. In a world where games often rush us from one spectacle to another, you were the quiet dread in the shadows. You were the lone xenomorph, ever-watchful, reminding us that horror is best served slowly-one terrifying moment at a time. Alien: Isolation, you are the embodiment of fear and fascination, a masterpiece in restraint, and a triumph in tension. IGN may not have seen your brilliance, but we do. And for that, we offer you our endless admiration-and maybe, a motion tracker or two to lend IGN for their next playthrough.
